If no records Lloyds would just pay the average of £1800 a couple of years ago, it may have changed though now.0

Still don't trust they are telling the truth baring in mind I have only claimed as when I took the loan in 1989 the bank manager told me I would not get the loan unless I took PPI.
If you dont believe them then pay £10 and do a data subject access request. In my experience, Lloyds have records of loans from about 1994 but not from much earlier than that.
That would be about right as that is the period when the branches started getting the more advanced branch based systems in place and audit trails and history was retained. Also, the data protection act of 1994 came in and I remember the work in the branches at the time which was destroy all data older than 6 years.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). If no records at all exist then this is still the case.
Not true. Average Redress in Lloyds when no details are known about the loan are the same for all, no matter what other loans/cards you might have had PPI on.
So if someone on here received average redress for a loan since around Oct last year, they would be able to state the figure.
The figure quoted is very close, but is the gross figure.0 -

However, if only some of the PPI paid is known (usually for a credit card over a long period), then the amount is based on the individual's known payments.0 -
However they did say they would pay out 'the average' on loans that they do not have amounts for. I believe the average is between 2 and 3k?
This is the sentence that started this debate. No mention of cards and I never mentioned a card. I was merely trying to alert the o/p that his expectations were way too optimistic.
But Yes, if PPI is known and the claim accepted, the claimant will get refunded the PPI known.0 -
Well I have received an offer from Lloyds on the five bank loans I had from 1989 to 1999. Two of the loans there is a record of the value, the other three older loans there is no record. They have offered £6,457, the question now is do I appeal or take it further. Anyone any advice/experience of doing this and outcomes? Thanks for all advice to date0

you can appeal but if there is no record, there is no record, and no appeal will magic one into existence.
Did they offer you an average amount for the loans where there is no record of amount?Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
