Best low/midprice phone?
Options
I had my phone lost or stolen in a clothes shop the other day. I'd been using a Nokia Lumia 520 for about a year, and was reasonably happy with it. The only real downside was that the camera was pretty crap, with mediocre at best picture quality and not being good for selfies as it faced the wrong way and generally wouldn't prevent shaking very well or take a picture quickly and precisely.
I don't use many minutes at all and only really used the phone as a glorified mp3 player, texter, mobile browsing device (used up to 2gb downloading per month and it was very good for this generally) and occasional camera.
Based on that criteria, what would be the best shout? I've been looking at the recent moto g around £150 and the samsung mini reduce to about the same price. What about other Nokia models?

I would look into a Google Nexus if you can. They have pretty good cameras if you don't mind the size of them!0

Google Nexus 6 will be over ur budget. But try to get the older model Nexus 5 under £200.
Probably the MOTO g is best budget buy for ur but the camera is just Ok
Tesco has the Moto G with 4G at £125,much less with Clubcard Boost
(unlock it on ebay for £2)

If I was in in your situation I would definitely look at the Moto G. I love my Nexus 5 but it was 2 or 3 times the price of the Moto G and I'm pretty sure it's not 2 or 3 times as good! You'll get fast updates from Motorola when the equivalent Samsung will get them a year later if at all.0

Plus the Samsung will have more 'crapware' than the Moto G0

Unless there is something very specific you like about a Nexus 5, go with a Moto G. The battery life of the Nexus 5 is terrible. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
