UKPC and DMG property

Hi all,

Is there a relevance for the date in which to receive a pcn?

The pcn states the offense occurred 9/11/2014 - they dated the letter as 09/12/2014 and I received it 11/12/2014.

Is there a time limit in which they should have notified me? Or is this all cooshty?

( I will carry on appealing in accordance to all the fab advise, but thought I had better get this point straight in my head first.)

Many thanks for this and all the information and time you guys put in! :)

Arre they claiming they put a windscreen ticket on the car> It matters if it was this or ANPR.

Give us a bit of background and we can help.

    Hi Guys Dad,

Yep they are saying a charge was issued at the time (this would be the windscreen charge im guessing).

They have actually given me two invoices, for two seperate occasions a few days apart. 1 where the permit had slipped off the dash on the passenger seat. The second for parking in an unmarked area ie not a bay or not restricted (with pass stuck to dashboard). Both these were issued in bad and cold weather (windscreen wet/icy therefore possible visibility diminished?)

I have contacted the land owners who say they wont help as the parking company are seperate to them despite being under their instruction.

I will post two appeal letters tomorrow following the templates on the forum, I just wasnt sure about the length of time and whether it was a point I could use as lervage over notification?

    Thanks in advance :)

No they are right to send a NTK in the post between day 29 and day 57 after the parking event. But you will win at POPLA!

    Hi Coupon-mad,

I am sending a letter to their appeal and then will proceed with a popla one once it is rejected (If this procedure is wrong just say :) )

    Thanks again

So... I sent a written response following the help on here and have a certificate of posting for both appeal letters ( sent 16.12.2014).

I received two final demand letters (for each ticket) issued on 24.12.2014 - I have been away and just got home and opened them.

They are saying the tickets are now £100 due to failure to pay the parking charge and that if necessary court proceedings will be issued against me.

Do I resend my original appeal letters ( following the templates on here) with a paragraph added stating when they were originally sent and a photocopy of the certificates of posting?

    Any advice appreciated.

    Many thanks :)

You could resend the original appeals or just simply state you sent two appeals and have proof of posting. Demand they cancel both PCNs or supply two PoPLA codes.

Lots of this happening lately - this seems to be UKPC's current modus operandi (in breach of the BPA code of practice). Complain loud and long to Steve C at BPA. (Details in NEWBIES thread).

    Thanks guys for your responses.

Since posting this and leaving it a few days I have since received a further couple of letters stating they are reviewing my responses and to wait 35 days.

I will let you know the outcome. I am expecting a response saying the appeal was unsuccessful and that I can appeal to Popla (I havent had a popla number yet so I imagine I will get one then).

Thanks again and have a great weekend.

Is this a block of flats, and if so what is your connection with the car park, as a leaseholder, a tenant, or a visitor?. Whichever one it was, they are likely to have suffered no loss, so you owe them nothing.

POPLA code only comes from the PPC with their rejection; you can't get it anywhere else.

But you've everything to look forward to, either a cancellation, or (arguably better) a POPLA code where you can cost them £27 with a virtually guaranteed win. Life doesn't get much better!
