Not sure why people consider macs/ macbooks as overpriced. Any other PC's/laptops with the same spec, quality etc aren't that much cheaper. All that glitters is not gold.0

I put off buying a macbook for maybe 5 years but took the plunge in the summer when pc world were offering a £100 cash back, best money i ever spent other pc's pale in comparison
The problem is not that you don't get a good machine, it's the premium that you pay for the name that means you get a machine costing at least 25% more than an identical spec PC. You get a nice shiny laptop with Mac OS which is safer than Windows but unless there is a good reason to buy a Mac such as graphic design or music as a career then the additional premium for the name will always be questioned on a money saving website. Even with 0% finance it's still debatable whether it is worth it.
I'm sure there are horror stories about PC laptops blowing up and the Mac replacement lasting X number of years but equally I have 2 Dell laptops, one running the old Pentium 233 MMX processor and one from XP era that work fine :beer:Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

viruses and spyware are now cropping up on the macs, unlike how they used to be. The mac build isn't very good on the electric shock issues eitherDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0 -

Their customer service is the best I've ever used, and I've had a miniscule amount of problems with my Apple products, and when I have had problems they've been fixed immediately.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

A year or two ago I looked at an Apple costing £1000.
The price of the hardware was £400
So I could have a linux pc for £400
With Windows it was £470
And the Apple was £1000
So it's a lot more than 25%
These figures are all retail so the PC manufacturers would get the parts for less.0 -

Seriously?
That's not an example. That's you typing in some random numbers.
You haven't worked hard enough to be able to justify buying a Mac. Plenty of us work hard so we can buy nice things.

You can see why some people make the computer and then illegally put the Apple software on it.0
