Technically I am moved.
In reality I camping the the new place and going to the old place daily to get more stuff wedding have time to load on Thursday morning.
So still to move are 2/3 of the panels in a malm chest of drawers, 1 full set of bits for a kallax shelf and both the zig zag shelves.
Thanks to yet more staff sickness I didn't get the audit job done this morning as planned so supermarket visit after my 12 hour work day. Back to the old place for more stuff - Hoping the smaller zigzag will go in the car whole so I can start unpacking things onto it thus clearing space hopefully rebuild other units.
I've also an increasing pile of stuff to get rid of, now including radiator airers as they don't fit my radiators, a towel rail, wine rack, cutlery tray and a set of cutlery. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Rebuilt the sofa last night, and found that rearranged I can fit it all of my shelves against one wall, now planning to keep the tv unit I had planned to get rid of until I can do an ikea visit to replace it with a matching unit (and hopefully buy replacement parts for the chest of drawers).
Still need to rebuild the bed, thought I'd got the bolts but found that the ones I picked up are for the ikea shelves. But am feeling like I've pretty much cracked it furniture wise now. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

TV unit is going, the furniture fits better without it so all the assorted shelves fit against the same wall with the TV on top of the smaller zig zag shelf. I still want to change them for something which will match the Ikea stuff better but the Kallax shelves are shorter than the taller zig zag.
Still not built the bed, I think I need M8 bolts just not sure how long, which means I still have an already narrow corridor space in the middle of the flat which contains the bedside tables and a suit case of clothes in the living room I cant get in to the wardrobes yet as they're filled with stuff that normally lives under the bed and the chest of drawers which is rebuilt and refilled but not sure I'll trust it if I put anything on top of it!
Gave myself a moment of worry earlier when I had no hot water until I realised that I'd knocked the switch in the cupbaord while I was shuffling things earlier - have now taped a piece of polystyrene over it to stop me doing it again. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Does that mean you've lost them?scubaangel wrote: »which means I still have an already narrow corridor space in the middle of the flat which contains the bedside tables and a suit case of clothes in the living room I cant get in to the wardrobes yet as they're filled with stuff that normally lives under the bed and the chest of drawers which is rebuilt and refilled but not sure I'll trust it if I put anything on top of it!
What's with your drawers which is giving rise to concern?

Yup, the guys who disassembled it put half of the bolts back in to the frame and not the other half of them, I hoped I'd come across them while I was unpacking but I've not done yet.
Forgiving the expression mostly the fact that I rebuilt them minus the broken parts and it's just a bit wobbly, don't want to put any weight on the top of it as the board is pretty much shredded where the top fits to one of the sides and the two broken front cross pieces make it some what precarious.
just redeemed £15 amazon from the postal panel, should be sent within the week given their normal timescale of sending out rewardsin the first week of the mnth. Lots of surveys to plough through in the inbox so hopefully make some more pennies as I clear them out.
Got a merchandising job to do tomorrow morning then off to the old place to see how well the carpet shampoo'er from work has done upstairs before I do the living room and finish cleaning the kitchen. If the answer is not very well I'll take it back to work and call a friend who has a domestic one I can pick up if needs be (I have their house key and the dog loves me so I'll be safe going in if they're out). It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I always try to keep things with what they go with, working under the assumption that I find new and innovative ways to lose them. That's why various screws and rack-mounting bits have been stuffed into the bottom of my computer, and the install DVD taped to the side. Purists may shudder, but I haven't lost them yet...scubaangel wrote: »Forgiving the expression mostly the fact that I rebuilt them minus the broken parts and it's just a bit wobbly, don't want to put any weight on the top of it as the board is pretty much shredded where the top fits to one of the sides and the two broken front cross pieces make it some what precarious.
You can repair those, if you have appropriate wood glue and some big clamps. Otherwise, it may be time to look out for new.scubaangel wrote: »Got a merchandising job to do tomorrow morning
What's a merchandising job?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Merchandising jobs are usually going in to supermarkets checking that display units are set up in the right places and are filled, and if they aren't badgering the managers until they let me in to the warehouse to find said unit and building and filling it on the shop floor. Todays was surprisingly simple - no unit, it'd falled apart, no stock it was all sold.
As for the chest of drawers, its from Ikea so if I'm passing one I was going to ask about spare parts to keep with it so I can disassemble it and reuse it next time I move but until then given it's inside the wardrobe and safe enough as long as I put the heavy clothes in the bottom drawer (jeans etc) it'll do for the time being.
Old house has been mostly cleaned, bathroom and kitchen just need a whip over with a duster tomorrow and the floors sweeping again, carpets will hopefully be dry and look reasonably close to the original colour, but I'll give them a once over with the hand held vaccuum before wiping down the skirting boards and giving the insides of the windows a once over. Then I can hand back the keys and not have to think about the place again. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Get you with your non hand-held vacuum Roomba...scubaangel wrote: »before wiping down the skirting boards and giving the insides of the windows a once over. Then I can hand back the keys and not have to think about the place again.
Well hopefully this place will bring you better job opportunities with its location. Are you happy with the new place?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Yeah It's smaller than the house in floor space but is more practical in layout so actually feels bigger in the living room, bedroom I couldn't say yet due to the bed still not being built so the beside tables are outside the room and I keep stubbing my toes on them.
House handed back, the check out report was broadly the same as the check in, the clerk completely missed commenting on the scrape in the wall I filled the other day - despite it being a different colour entirely!
Just popped in to the nearest town to get my car valeted now I'm not using it to carry around household stuff and pick up some fresh milk and veggies. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

The chains and furry manacles take up that much room do they?scubaangel wrote: »so the beside tables are outside the room and I keep stubbing my toes on them.
Be careful with that - last thing you need is a broken toe."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
