clarification of genuine hardship cases
Comments
-
having read that all reclaims are on hold except if you have financial difficulty, i wondered how you would apply if you were in this situation.thanks0
-
Even if you could convince your bank you were suffering financial hardship the reality is you only have a 1 in 7 chance of getting even a partial refund.
I would go through the FOS.0 -
fos? please elaborate?0

from experience i wouldnt bother with FOS!!! they take the same stance as the bank and are way way behind!!! They wont even ask the bank to refund but simply suggest they help u not get any more chrages!!! very disappointed with them indeed0
-
novelli what would you suggest as the best route ? thanks0
-
I know novelli has had a bad deal from the FOS but I also know of someone
who recently had a very quick result from them so I think it's just pot luck really.0 -
from my experience i would go straight to the courts with it, but as nathan says there are sure to be others where FOS have helped. Sadly not in my case!! they have been as negative and unresponsive as the bank.0

Courts are as bad as FOS but you need to try every angle. Go both ways as it will give the bank more to deal with and may make them think settling is easier than arguing. Main point is "dont do nothing"!!0

FOS wont take the case on if u are already gpoing thru the court i dont think. in fact i dont know what circumstance they would take a case on these days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0
