You can use the square of rectangular ones okay so long as the turntable still goes round - ie it's not too big for the interiorCheryl0

So, a grand spend today of 49p on a cabbage, 60p on a newspaper and £2 on some hand cut ham from the butcher for lunch. Still under my £10 per day total but am out tonight for a Lebanese meal at £22 per head, including a corkage charge as it's BYO.
By the way - is there a knack to posting smilies as I don't seem able to work it out? Duh!0 -
If I'm using my combi as a convential oven, the manual says to remove the turntable and use the slide in shelf/shelves or circular standing rack instead. So rectangular are actually best for mine, as they sit nicely on the slide in shelf.
Which model do you have? Mine doesn't have slide in shelves but then, like I say, it is over 9yrs old.
Nsd for me today... well on groceries. I did have to go out and buy a tap for the kitchen but that has come out of the 'house' pot and that is a different budget.Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

I've had mine almost exactly 2 years (orderd on 4th Feb), but even that's long enough for it to now be a discontinued model as best I can tell
My only complaint is that the oven thermostat is well out - and I need to set it to run at 20 degrees above what the cooking instructions say if I want 180 or above. A cool oven below that I can possibly get away with only increasing by 10. (I've used an oven thermometer to keep an eye on it)Cheryl0 -

i read the recipe earlier for marmalade cake earlier and wondered would this work if the lemon curd was substituted for marmalade?

Been a busy, expensive week here. Sunday we had to go hunt down a cheap car for hubby to get to work. Then my birthday Monday and today we've had the heating fixed and two new tyres for Hubby's car.
But I have managed to keep the grocery budget under control. We are currently £137.05/£310.
