  • Morning all. Still frosty here today; the cars had iced up already when we got home about midnight.

Went out for a Lebanese meal last night with a group of friends. Food was fine but I've now put all our clothes in the wash because of the smoke that was around from those hashish/bubble pipes or whatever they're called. Think I may be heading up to the dry cleaners with my jacket as well.

Caterina enjoy the marmalade cake. I love the crunchy bits on the top from the Demerara.

Lynnejk thanks for your help with the smileys. :)

I always worried with the 3 for £10 when it has YS that I will be charged £10 when because of the offer. Is this not the case? :o

Multisave promotions work by triggering a discount when certain items are purchased, not by rounding to the promotion price. All the lines in the 2 4 7/3 4 10 promotion are £4, so buying 2 triggers a £1 discount, 3 a £2 discount.

Often it doesn't work on YS stuff. I think the way the promotion is set up on these lines means it still kicks in. Mr T will probably fix it at some point but, for now, it works.

  • Hi all,

2 inches of snow here. DS2 decided to go down with flu so he is outside working with raging temperature and I am amazed and delighted that Mr T delivered our order this morning. £57, have updated signature. Really pleased as it means I do not have to go out for half a day for bread and milk etc. Thank you Mr T.

    Keep well everyone.

I've been a bit quiet and forgot to update last week, however have just updated my signature and with two weekly shops left until my month ends I'm confident of coming in under budget. Which is just as well as car broke down on Thursday so have the expense of that plus hiring a car for a few days as I can't do without one unfortunately.

Last weekend got a few bits in Wilkys, hand wash, tissues, dental floss, matches 3.15, needed shampoo and that was 4.49 on offer, I use John Frieda but considering down branding...but couldn't face choosing an alternative! Waitrose 5.92 needed bread and milk but also got half price can of soup, two half price tunas and some of their yummy apple and mango squash. I only drink squash with sugar in rather than sweeteners and All* don't do any. 22.07 in Ald* for main groceries and 17.15 in Sainos for things they don't sell in As.

Am still meal planning and positive I can keep it up. Just tucking into left over mash, tuna and sweet corn that I made into a potato bake type thing for lunch, yummy.

Hi all, popped to the corner shop last night to get milk and 3 tins of tomatoes, spent £1.89. Been to Ald* today to get most of the week's groceries, spent £39.33. Forgot beans and pasatta, and there are a couple of things I'll get from Mr T's.
Got £12.87 in my purse so not planning on getting any more cash out before a week on monday!
Added up my NSD's and I'm on 7 so not too bad!

    Hi everyone.

Down to £36 left til next Sunday. It's a definite Nsd tomorrow. Pack up stuff bought for the coming week. Will need to restock fruit, veg and milk in the middle of the week but no main dinner bits are needed as the freezers still got plenty in from christmas.

I've worked over got between 5 and 6 pound a day so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck everyone x
