Hi cw18, I have no idea how to quote yet as am quite new but hope you manage to see this :j
I thought I had a rough idea of what we were spending as have been keeping an eye on things over the last couple of months but am starting to think I may have been a bit ambitious with my first target. I didn't think £45 a week was too much to ask for 2 adults & a toddler but must be wrong :rotfl:
I am going to work out the balance left from my original total of £225 & divide that weekly & see how I go. Rarely buy washing powder as we generally have a good stock but its typical that I now need it  And also have plenty of nappies now which should last until the end of the month hopefully, thank you for your advice I really appreciate it :A
Must try & keep focussed as otherwise I will never manage to improve! :money:0 -
£3.35 in lidls yesterday during my lunch break on non essentials, grape juice for work, tinned mackerel x 2 and choc bars x 2 .....naughty but the choc & grape juice are getting me through a tough week at work! £12.26 in Tesco at the weekend, water, toilet tissue, ham, cheese and a couple of other little things but I cant remember what now! Ooops and I forgot my lunch today and had a short lunch break so went to the nearest shop - Sainsbury for lunch - £3 meal deal. In total £18.61 to add to my monthly spend!MFW

Hmmm. Another £23.14 spent in sm today. Might have to revise the target! Well I'll see how it goes for now. So I'm on £59.68/£100.
I feel £23 is a lot but I have to remind myself I bought some store cupboard bits like the 500g jar of marmite, and some luxuries (wholenut peanut butter...). Now eating a very comforting pasta bake; I made extra for lunch but it's hitting the spot so well I'm tempted to eat the lot! Greedy piglet that I am..!

Another NSD today.
Tomorrow is a big shop day, hubby and all kids have done a shopping list, and chosen a meal (healthy one) and/or treats for coming week ( I find if they chose a meal each, it helps to meal plan and they seem to eat better because they have chosen it )
So far under budget for the month, really hoping I can keep it this way (fingers crossed)Loving life to the full, just need purse full too

Spent £5.84 in Mr T and 59p in Ald* earlier today, I use checkout smart so was awarded £2.50 for spending more than £5 and 1p for uploading a receipt. Have uploaded the ald* one too as it was for french fries which I should get the full amount back on. As I have to spend the cash in the first place I'm counting it here but will put whatever I get back into my sealed pot. Total £6.43Grocery Challenge 2024
