Good morning, all,
We went to all 4 shops in the end yesterday, because we had to wait around near local T's so I managed to bag a lot of fresh YSs. Well done on coming in under budget for January.
Seeing the bit about Branston beans I bought some in Mr Ts a couple of weeks ago at £1.27 for 4 - have just checked their website and they're still at that price.
Denise
JoeDenise - thanks for that. Our Tesco is built on leylines which means my OH and I cannot enter together without us arguing/bickering/nearly getting divorcedI do, however, have some leftover clubcard vouchers so might have to use them and stock up. I've tried conning him with other beans and he just knows the difference (although even I love Branston beans!)
How long til pay day?

NSD today
One day left and I'm planning an NSD as I have managed to come up with a store cupboard recipe amending one from the index slightly. Feeling triumphant

I have been hiding as I feel rather ashamed of myself.
I'm on £156.55/£100.
I know why, I went to l*dl and "stocked up" as I don't go there that often.
So, I have taken a week to 'fess up, and the rest of the month will be damage limitation. I need to do a meal plan, and see if I can talk OH into some less carnivorous weekend breakfasts...“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Another NSD
[Could have been tempted to venture out today but it started snowing again last night and has been coming down thick and fast all morning. This is settling on top of the previous lot of snow/ice and neighbours have been struggling to get out with their cars so think it's best to stay home and keep warm... and not spend!]#Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain #We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us #If you focus on what you have left behind, you will never see what lies ahead - Gusteau/RatatouilleGC 2022: £0/£2,500 total spend0 -
The snow is sounding very localised! I have 2 friends not many miles down the road who reported snow last night and again this morning - but I've got nothing apart from light rain (had a touch of the white stuff settle on the drive late yesterday evening, but it was all gone by the time I got up this morning), and am keeping my fingers firmly crossed it stays that way. Am off to GD4s birthday party on Sunday, which means an 80-90 mile round trip, and I hate being driven in snow (likely to take OH's car as his niece is also coming and the car seat will be installed in his car) almost as much as I hate driving in it
My grocery 'spends' are still looking shocking this month against my budget, and can't see that I'll have much less of a spend for the last 10 days of the month than any other 10 days so far. Need to do a total tot-up to date (I know a few figures need adjusting upwards!) and then work out if I've any chance at all of staying under budget.......Cheryl0 -

Have just done the next 7 days menu plan and shopping list for tomorrow. Have to go for injection tomorrow again so will nip into A1di while we are out (snow permitting) Very cold here but it has stopped snowing for now thankfully.

Hi All
So have officially run out of money in my shopping budget on day 28 of 36. Spent £4.59 in Lidl & 40p in Sains so thats my £200 done. Have meals enough for at least 2 more days possibly 3. After that I have £5 in Nectar points to spend. And if necessary I can pinch the £15 I've saved in my travel budget this month to keep from going over. Long month....but I have learnt so much here this month its been ace." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
