And the winner for the craziest buyer this season goes to the buyer who after not having received their item within 4 days sent this message:

Where the hell is my product??? I'm a 25 year old girl that has phyco logical problems in the bedroom! I can't get aroused and I DISPISE sex but trying for a baby! The fact that you have not sent the item when you said you would has really caused me physical and mental toucher! I have really bad thrush and water infection due to dry sex! I'm opening a case, I want the item AND a refund!

I think I am going to have to consult an OBGYN and a Psychiatrist before I attempt to reply.

That message screams scammer, tell them to open a case, then report them for abusing the buyer protection program and if they leave you bad feedback report them for making unreasonable demands, they can't have the item and a refund.

Well my item still hasn't arrived, still hasn't been marked on Ebay as despatched and I've still not received a response from the seller. It's been ten days since I won the auction. Time to open a case....

Why not email the seller via ebay before opening a case?

As they state in the part you quoted, the seller hasn't responded to the poster's email.

If you read my earlier posts you'll see that I already have e-mailed the seller and have not received a response.
  • I'm fairly new to selling on ebay but on checking my feedback it appear 2 people have marked me down on despatch times. How silly this time of year I posted the items on the same day as I had sold them for 99p!

Oh !!!!!!! For the last time, for those that can't read, in big clear capital letters - THERE HAS BEEN NO NOTIFICATION ON EBAY - THE ITEM IS NOT SHOWING AS DESPATCHED A WEEK AFTER THE AUCTION ENDED AND I PAID ERGO NO E-MAIL. ALSO, THE ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATE HAS PASSED.

Do you understand that now? The seller also said that the item would be sent tracked. As there is no despatch notification I asked if there were tracking details. Is this really so hard to understand? Are all you sellers stupid or unable to read?

This was your post i responded to twinkle - no mention of the above:-

"From a buyers POV, it is super frustrating when you pay a lot of money for an item, receive no notification that it's been shipped and no response AT ALL when I politely ask a) if it has actually been posted and b) is there any tracking??

I am happy to wait, but I really, really want this item and if the seller has been mugged by elves on the way to the post office and I'm not actually getting it, I'd like to know so I can buy one of the only three that are left for sale on Ebay.

Everything else I have bought, in the same time frame, has been delivered."

And one of the dumbest quotes from buyers is "my other items have been delivered". How is that even relevant unless we all have the same dispatch times, method of posting AND live in the same house and go to the post office together!!!!!!!!!!!

Am I miss reading it, or is the exact info in the bit you quoted?
(Sorry if I've got the wrong end of the stick, still early for me!)

Agreed, ditto when sellers (like mine) say similar - "other parcels I sent on the same day have arrived". Well lucky them! Doesn't help me with my missing parcel!

You are quite right. I've said from the get go that I've not received notification of despatch. Bless, some posters clearly have trouble with their reading and comprehension.

I mentioned other deliveries to indicate that other deliveries are arriving therefore blame cannot be laid at the door of couriers. I am sorry I did not explain that more clearly for you, techspec.

BTW, techspec do let me know your EBay ID so I can avoid you.

Ebay give you the delivery time thats all that matters. Sellers dont need to send dispatch emails any more.

I have an email last week "hi you promised my item would be here by the 22nd DEC where is it"

I ignored it - it was the 18th when she sent it.

The reason parcels are late is the sellers too over-run with dumb emails saying "as this been dispatched yet".
