your really giving them far too much credit.

In terms of ticketing only operations, a vast majority of people will just pay up, so if your a knuckle dragging parking company then why go to all the bother of having to follow a code of practice, joining a trade association and so on. all that sort of stuff requires a little bit of thought - not much but some vague idea anyway.

Wait for the NTK to come in the post, if it ever does before you take any action. If after a month ( even though that longer than the time out period ) you hear nothing consider the matter closed.
If you do get a letter in the post then its time to act, but until then sit back.
he refused to give me ticket insisted it was stuck to my window screen as I was against the law to hand it to me.
the blokes clearly talking out of his backside, and probably beleives he is issuing fines and that its a criminal offence to tamper with his precious yellow envelopes.
If that was near me I would be tempted to do just that, and stick a pepipoo flyer in with the crap from the parking company.

As for Disabled bay abuse, ive got no time/very little time for those who deliberately abuse the bays, however those who make a mistake, or park in them as a result of poor signage fall intoa differnt category.
And as for those who deliberately park in a disabled bay ( and dont have a long term mobility issue ) are almost as bad as the PPCs as they give the parking companies an excuse to exist.

    What"s a pepipoo flyer?

As for disabled bays it was a genuine mistake, there was only signage on the floor from where I was postioned in the car I didn"t see it I was contending with cars pulling out and blinding sun. There no pole with a sign on it by the bay at driver level that I could see. Feel bad anyway, and !!!!ed off that it is such a dodgy company can get away with it!

If they've no access to the DVLA database, then absolutely, make no contact, written or by telephone, with this outfit.

Contacting them would be stupid. They don't know who you are; they don't know where you live; keep it just that way, and that's the end of this!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Did have a thought, could they get another company to contact the DVLA? That would be illegal but they are doing that anyway by saying they are a BPA member.
  • For goodness sake, stop over-thinking this.
