Look back through your bills, when was the last time a real reading was taken?

Ask a reliable friend who knows what they are doing to check for you,it looks like a simple reading of the meter mistake, I hope.

What did it read 2 years ago and what have been paying a month.

On face value you have been underpaying and your supplier is now catching up.

Take meter readings every week and see how they compare to what you have used over the past 2 years. But the meter is probably right, you'll have to work out a payment plan.

So 3000 units over 2 years would cost about £1800 , average £70 a month . A bit over average - dont forget hot water, baths, showers, cooking?

It's most important to read and give them online every month.

What about your electric readings ?
