to be honest i dont know total, must have been estimates but i dont understand how could be this long. just know have paid bills up until now, need to call back with meter number when home as account registered to housing not myself so cant seem to access online.0

If its a metric meter ( 8 numbers ) multiply the 3000 by 11 and then your kwhr tariff rate , say 4.2p/kwhr to get a ball park figure of what you owe. If its a Imperial meter multiply by 33 then by your tariff for a lousy skint xmas0

It doesn't matter who the property belongs to you can arrange to submit your resdings online and pay by DD and save yourself a few £'s a year and the unpleasant surprises like you now haveNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
To enable us to help in more detail, go through your bills and look for the following and post the information here:
First, ensure you are not confusing units with KWH. Which amount are they over estimating. May be obvious, but worth a check.
Next, post the following:
Your current confrimed meter reading and the date
The previous confirmed meter reading and the date.
The latest estimated meter reading and the date.
On average, how much have you being paying per month? Or rather, what have you actually paid in the last year based on your estimated bills? Add up all your bills.
The following is somthing else you should check:
Look on the meter to check what type of meter it is. there are two types. One is a ft3 meter and the other is m3. Check if you bills show the correct type of meter as this can affect bills if wrong. Again, unlikely this is wrong, but always worth a check.0 -

i am currently chatting to an advisor i shall let you no how it goes
thanks all0 -
Lots of people here have offered you advice and you seem to have chosen to ignore it.
'Advisors' people paid to give you this info are usually less clued up about this kind of thing than people who work with meters and readings for a job.
Do what people have asked rather than conveying worry over the internet. You might find your answer in what people say.
So lets start again, What is the current reading of the meter (actual reading, not one that you think is right) Then find your last read reading through your bills or online account and give this information to the thread. Pictures help too, If you can take a picture of your meter and provide a link so we can view it.0
