The only area where I was significantly under my target allocation was Asia Pacific, so I used some of the my recent dividends to correct that.
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.
  • I topped up my major allocations and had some spare left over. Couldnt decide which fund to put it in so went for shares in Tullow oil. Doing well today too - likely to be extremely volatile for a bit I would think. My biggest gain today so far @ 6.15%

Portfolio reds rapidly becoming green. That was a small dip. I managed to get a few beneficial transactions in before the rise. Unfortunately missed out on the 14% Russia fund rise due to fund dealing times. ETFs next time maybe.

    What's changed?

Apple, BP, Heineken and Pepsi are companies which have been impacted by Russias woes. Living in a global world means surprises can arise were you least expect them. The seismic waves will ripple around through all and sundry.

I'm up 13.6% on Catlin over the past 5 days. Being buying the shares for a while now. The news of the bid came as a welcome surprise.

The fed with its 'wording' on future rate rises and a tad more stability in the 'still low' oil price. So - nothings really changed just twitchy investors.

Neptune Russia seems to have dropped 20% in a day. I'll have to check that one. That's huge.

An article on Trustnet today about Neptune Russia & Greater Russia:

With low oil prices. Pressure will continue to build. Who or what will buckle first is the question?
  • My 2c: don't forget to top up those European assets

They were dragged down with Emerging markets and oil, yet it's Europe that's set to benefit the most from low oil prices (being a major importer)

My Euro fund has barely rebounded from the dip.
