Hi everyone :)No 6 reporting Well I'm happy to report I've cleared my debt in my signature :j:j:j However, I still do have a few grand left on my bank loan, but that was not included in my challenge, as the bank take that every month. What was causing me the sleepless nights was the credit card payments. It's taken 2 years to get to this point :o But I've got there! A huge thank you to Pablosammy for running this great thread and all it's contributors! And to those just starting keep going, you may slip but don't worry, it's not the journey that matters, but the final destination :T (although not with endings like the films :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Good and bad this month. I've made it over the halfway mark, which I'm pleased about, and have made my last payment to the card that was charging me interest. Just in time, because it's the start of the academic year, so I've started paying £250 per month for a postgrad course I'm self funding. This is the last year of a six year course. :j Still plodding on with debt repayments, just at a slightly slower pace.

Other bad news is that my landlord is definitely putting my house on the market. I'm hoping that no one is interested, or that another landlord buys it and keeps us on as tenants, because I don't want to move out. I like this house, and don't want the hassle and stress and expense of moving. I'm trying not to think about it.

    Evening all,

So I have only managed to put another £450 into the savings pot this month due to my big credit card bills that I have had. Most of these were for Dds birthday. I'm realising that although I plan really well for Christmas, I don't plan for the birthdays etc that are regular events. Next year I plan to follow Dave Ramsey a bit better and get this under more control. In a couple of years time when I am not paying debts but instead throwing extra at the mortgage I won't have spare cash to throw at credit card bills when they occur.

The extra £450 means I have now got 88.5% towards my overall debt for this year and should be on target to clear it at Christmas. I've updated my signature accordingly.

Three months left - got to keep going!!!!

    Have a great week all.
