Hello all, I missed posting last week when I was on holiday.

I overspent a little but I can't really complain as the holiday only cost £128! We cooked from scratch each night and I found a crochet pattern so I could use up some of my stash and not have to buy anything new.

    #050 £2222 / £4544 (48.9%)

50% is so close I can smell it but it's going to be hard to reach it by the end of the month. I'm going to go home tonight and work out how I can find the last £50! :D
Total debt at LBM = £4861.03

    Hi all
Ok, I am ready to face my new debt total. It makes me want to cry but I need to get over myself and sort it.
Anyway, Hoping to get people's thoughts on best way to list it here.
Should I declare new debt balance as of now with 0% paid OR do I calculate my total with amount already paid, so debt total for year would be higher but it would recognise progress made to date.
    Thanks.

    Hi there

Apologies, I've not been on the thread for absolutely ages. It's taken me a good few hours to catch up on about 50 pages of posts too!!

Firstly, well done to everyone who has aleady reached 100% of the target, I'm secretly quite envious!!!

Everyone else is doing so well too; the monthly payment totals are amazing.

However, please may I reduce my target total to £6,000?
    #135 Pay All your debt 2015 paid £2,255.05/ £6,000 = 37.58%

Checked my bank account and have had a much more frugal month than I thought, so to celebrate the end of the week, I have paid another £492 onto the credit cards and killed another one. This is really addictive. Halfway through the year pretty much to the day and a shade under 60% of the target hit. I get to write another letter asking to close another credit card account :-)

Payday a week today when I can get at least another £500 off as a minimum, but hopefully nearer to a grand with the money from my other jobs. I also start my new job a week on Monday which means July's pay check is going to be significantly higher due to my promotion, and I will also get two months of unsociable hours pay (Didn't get my claim form in last month) which should be about £800 worth.

I have set myself a bit of a target of trying to clear this all by September 1st so that I can dedicate the final three months to xmas saving money to get 2016 off to a very positive note. I think I can do it.

It really feels awesome to be taming this beast. Onwards everyone!

New percentage in signature below for you with thanks Pablo.
Figures wise I am now at £4,727 out of £7,957

    Morning everyone.

I have made a few payments this week but no more until payday so this is the final update for the month.

  • Morning All

Credit card bill came in this morning so I'd saved back £300 of my wage for it so update is as follows:

#058: £6514.68/ £10,400 (62.64%) Happy days! I'm also looking at changing my mortgage as my loan to value has now dropped below 60% as a result of overpayments meaning I could get a fixed rate of 2.34% for 5 years with no fees to pay and overpay 10% per year as well. Giving it some serious consideration.
