I didnt leave the money in the account long enough for temptation to be an issue, first thing I did when I got out of bed was pay it off. :rotfl:

Could do with £50 right now though for a unexpected bill :o

I'm hoping if I have my way I can get this paid off in the next month, then I can focus solely on the one remaining huge debt for just over 19k

    Hello :santa2: (too soon?? ;) )

Had the first payday of February in the Mossy house, so I've just sent our monthly payment to the card. Min payment is now at £72 but still keeping it at the £80 amount to help chip away at it. ;)

    New figures:

    #28 £229/£2000 11.45%

Not sure that I'll get anything extra paid off it between now and this time next month....had some sort of computer memory storage issues and had to buy something expensive as a partial replacement!! :wall: Still it's month two and I'm over the 10% mark so that's a positive! :D
Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!

  • hi guys just some tips on saving on the basics to boost your debt free goals

if you start changing your fo0d shopping habits you can save big time.

even the basics you can save big on

    eg milk 89p at iceland
bread 2 for £1.80 at iceland
eggs 10pk eggs £1 or get kingsmill bread and 10pk eggs for £160 at iceland

on basics these are the best I can find

often its the most underestimated supermarket out there but they are fighting harder for your money than Tesco and some of the other supermarkets. and best of all they are always just a street away from where you normally shop

You can get cheaper normal bread (not value) for less, Morrisons do their own nice brand at 59p a loaf. I agree though if you like 'brand' name bread Iceland do have some good offers on at times, their two for £1.50 is good.

Sainsburys are selling a pack of six free range mixed sizes eggs for 85p at the moment. The pack we got were all good sized eggs (I know sometimes they can be pretty small). ;)
