Just paid a couple of bills and still feeling disheartened as my overdraft (which has crippling charges) still isn't coming down as quick as I'd like. Still, the debt is reducing. On a more positive note, one of my mortgages is finished in 3 payments which will save me a grand total of £258 a month. All these unexpected bills and the forced purchase of a new car isn't great but heading in the right direction. Roll on January 2016 when both cars are paid.

They all are the same really, we are ruled out of help to buy equity scheme coz the houses in our area are way out of our price range! Don't fancy buying a flat.

Even worst here in SW London. Crazy house prices hence why can't find anything to buy outright (with mortgage)

Hi pablosammy runs this thread and will give you a number. Then you just need to say how much you want to pay off before Christmas. I assume that's the figure you've got above?

We are a nice bunch and we don't bite. Just lots of encouragements for each other. Welcome :hello:

Keep your Chin up! Sorry if im teaching a duck to quack with the below

First thing first, if I was you that saving of £258 a month, its not a saving at all, if you are managing now continue to manage and that £258 a month accelerates payments of your other debts.

If your credit rating is rated as "your in so much poo your in the sewer" like mine, change your attitude with money and only live off what you earn... open a fresh account, get all your payments paid into that account, then one by one prioritise your outgoing payments and transfer the direct debits to that account ensuring write to the bank and request they freeze charges as you are in financial difficulty and to put a hold on. I wish I had done this it would have saved me a fortune!
