I can't keep up with you lot. Keep an eye out for the update tomorrow some time!

Does anyone else have a weight loss goal this year too? I'm hoping to lose at least a couple of stone. On the plus side, despite the monthly cost, going to the gym feels like a free activity so it feels MSE! Twisted logic, I know... :rotfl:

Hello - I have a weight loss goal and am looking to shed two stone this year - have joined the old style weight loss forum, but I do very little exercise and I think that's mainly where my problem is so good on you with the gym - worth keeping up.:)
I did the 5:2 diet last year for 2 weeks and lost 7lbs, however I had to stop because I found on my low calorie days I couldn't sleep because I was really hungry during the night - sorry it's off topic, but if anyone has a solution to this be interested to know as it was very easy to follow.:D

Back on topic - Loan payment has gone out so current payments up to:
    #058: £1,208.93/ £10,400 (11.62%)
    Blitz that mortgage
    Jun 2016 £152,000
    April 2021 £85,000

Hi Lottie, welcome aboard. There was a spare number, so you're #69 :D

Thanks Pablosammy! :) (no comment on the number ;))

    Right-o payday update for me:

    Lloyds CC £100 / [STRIKE]£813.97[/STRIKE] £713.97 23.95%APR
    Halifax CC £50 / [STRIKE]£383.98[/STRIKE] £333.98 0%APR
    PCDL £210.08 / [STRIKE]£6494.07[/STRIKE] £6283.99

    Car Ins £364.94
    Mum £345
    Sofa £1231
    TV £572
    House Account £2480
    OH £3696.47
    Folks £1175

Haven't been able to chuck as much at the debt as I'd like as it's the OH's birthday in Feb so put some money aside for those expenses (presents bought in Jan sales - boom!) AND got an underpayment in income tax bill for £102.00 to be paid by end of Jan! :( Looking into the dates as I switched jobs during the financial year, and following advice on these forums looking into tax code too - just in case. But if there are no errors then that's been put aside too.

    Grand total then: #69 £360.08 / £17,556.43 2.05%

    Let the challenging times roll!

im expecting to get my insurance renewal through on around 18th feb. hope to god i can get a good deal however... there was a bad incident late last year on the street involving 10 parked cars and a motorcycle, can't imagine it's not had an effect on the street's premiums :(
  • i have checked the loan it is 26.9% APR so i would be paying back £8467 for borrowing £4900. My credit card - i cant find the APR only standard purchase of 20.780% and standard cash of 25.640%.
    Does that seem a lot?

Hi - just catching up and reached your post - I would be very cautious about taking on a loan with such a high interest rate. You can get very low rates at the moment because the Bank of England rate is only 0.5% so loans from 3.7% are available - it will however depend on your credit rating and other debt but worth shopping around. Good luck - not an easy decision.:)

  • Have just made another payment to the nxt account. This is now paid off in full!!! Can't quite believe it tbh. :j:j:j

    So #115 = £607.94/4229
  • Right the last of this month's shopping has been done so I've had a little spare money left over from that, despite being massively skint for the last couple of weeks I've managed to pay off another £40 this month than I thought I would be able to - I would LOVE to keep this mindset for the rest of the year, it would be easy peasy to pay all the debts off like this!! Definitely the last update now until payday (roll on Friday, after my house insurance comes out on Monday I'll have £1.25 in my account!)

    #057: £1393.25 / £8202 16.9%

    Squeezed another 0.3% :A
