That's good to know. Thanks kroberts. Useful info for me too.
They'll be taking another blood sample from me at that time to try and determine the rhesus status of the baby as I am rhesus negative. But, I don't think they do that everywhere in the UK on the NHS. It seems to be a trial they are running in my area, and obviously only applicable if you're rhesus negative.
They put all of the results from my blood tests into my pregnancy book yesterday. Was really interesting to see all of the results, and the blood breakdown etc. Seems I still have an immunity to Rubella which is goodFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Hi all, I've just had my 16 week appointment with the midwife, was blood pressure check, urine check and heard the heartbeat which was nice. She also had to ring around to get my blood test results. I've got to self refer for physio for possible SPD as it could explain the pain I've had in my pelvis.
Khal, I was pretty relaxed through my last pregnancy apart from in the run up to scans, I'm sort of the same this time except some stuff feels like its kicking in earlier.0 -
I was told that the pain in my pelvis was totally normal. I'm not sure not being able to walk/get up/move/stand on one leg counts as normal? Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

I'd say not as well lulu my midwife thinks everything is relaxing and it wasn't quite back in place to start will because my last pregnancy wasn't long ago. We'll see what the physio says0

Lulu, it's common but not normal. SPD (sometimes called PGP) can become debilitating, but physio etc can help especially if you start early. I'd push your mw for a physio referral, and look at ways of minimising it now if you're already struggling x 2 if my sisters had it very badly and could barely stand/walk without crutches etc. I can feel twinges in my pelvis this time (nothing at all with DD), so trying to avoid it getting worse.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160

Same here littlemoog I had no problems with my first pregnancy so wasn't sure this time0

Thanks ladies. My friend had SPD with her first so I know the signs, it is beginning to creep into my pelvic area too. I don't have another appointment until 25th January, unless I say something at my ultrasound on 21st?
Work is still driving me mad, if I could quit I would! Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

If it's already affecting your mobility a bit, I'd go to GP and request physio referral. The waiting lists can be quite long in some areas, and the earlier you try to control it the better. In the meantime, this is the advice my sister sent me:
keep knees together as much as possible, eg swivel both legs out of the car together, when you turn in bed etc. Pull in your pelvic floor and tummy muscles before any movement.
Don't hoover or push a shopping trolley, keep your steps small when walking.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
