Carlisle for us today. Strictly speaking Gretna is nearer half way but she suggested Carlisle so that'll do for me. Long way to go for lunch but worth it.

"Strictly speaking" you said you were driving halfway to Scotland. How is Gretna closer to halfway? :p

Well my wine sneakery finally caught up with me today :o:o I had ordered some mystery red cases on the sly as I've said. A couple of them contained some £20+ bottles of fine wines :j:j but as I'm on a wine ordering ban I had to keep it to myself :o

So I walked into the kitchen today and saw one of them on the side....practically empty  cue me rushing to my iPad to look up and see which one it was....realised our Bubbs beef was in the oven being cooked in a £24 bottle of wine :o:o  :rotfl::rotfl:
OH had asked DD to get a bottle of anything French from the garage.
Glad I hadn't paid that for it or I'd have needed peeling from the ceiling :rotfl::rotfl: not that I'd pay that for red. As I only paid £3.33 a bottle ;) I let it slide......quietly.

    _pale__pale__pale_

Good job it wasn't a bottle that another certain person got would have been a fair few more £££s simmering.:eek::eek:

Morning all. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas :D

Got a tastecard plus from my son as he says I like a bargain lol. But Im trying to work out are these cards any good. I usually use tesco points for special meals out and other times use places that have offers on like 2 4 1 etc.
Anyone got experience of how to get the best out of tastcards?

    Tia :)

Hiya, just popped on to say Happy Christmas 🎅

I've been busy in rl, had an emergency caesarean on Sunday and been recovering while looking after our beautiful baby girl, who was a diddy 5lb, but doing well health-wise. Best Christmas present ever

Hope you're all well and look forward to catching up with the elite soon x

    Congratulations Abailey. :T :)
