  • Good morning all, still mild here!
Just had a carol singer turn up! Thankfully they didn't wake the baby or I'd be

Surely it's a bit late for a 10 ish year old to be out? (She was with her mum, but still...)

    Anyone else had any?

We had a bunch of teenage carol singers turn up about mid November, OH opened the door and was astounded, told them it was too early, they said they were going to be on holiday in December, OH promptly sent them away with a flea in their ears :D

Morning all. Hope everyone is well.
I would just like to take this chance to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year and to say thankyou to you all. You have helped me through a very difficult year and that's on top of all the money saving you have helped me with. Because of you lot I have healthier savings, more chance to spoil loved ones, tears, laughter but above all support from people who genuinely care. Not bad to say most have never met each other in RL. I don't know where else in life you could find what we have here and I'm so happy to be part of it xx

This brought a tear to my eye, so beautiful cjj, and a sentiment we can all agree with :o

we are so formal having Parents here :rotfl:

Today they have showers - on a Wednesday :o

Best wishes All as I haven't a clue who is ill, unhappy, needs a hug, fallen in love, angry or plain lost the plot from festive cheer ♥

They have a shower on a Wednesday whether they need it or not

Seriously though snap, I know you would rather have fourp there, but treasure your parents wile you can :)
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

    Good morning.

DS and I are off to feed the "rein"deer shortly, to be followed by a spot of shopping for those items that were out of stock and thus not delivered with my A HD yesterday evening. At least I hadn't ordered a turkey - apparently they are OOS too, and one HD customer did not get the one they had ordered according to the driver who delivered my order ....

Good luck today to those that are leaving the turkey shop to last in the hope of getting a bargain. I hope you all get a great bargain.

    Have a lovely day all.

Good morning all. Aldi, Netto and T already reducing Turkeys according to HUKD so may be worth an early look if you are playing chicken :) or at least an early recce to see how the land lies. W are the only major supermarket that are closing for two days so I suspect they may have the best reductions as they will not be able to clear any stock on Boxing Day (but higher prices to start with so will need najor reductions to bring them within range).

We are already sorted and the turkey crown is now defrosting - I could not live with myself if they sold out before we got one due to my moneysaving and I spoilt Christmas :o.

Now the big decision - do I wrap the laptop as my/the family present despite the spec being inferior and the price about £50 more than I could have got for this model (model that has turned up is not as advertised but delivery only arrived yesterday ), or leave it out as a present and then use the "as Father Christmas didn't get one for us I will get us one in the sales" routine? Very annoying not having it for tomorrow as it is on a Christmas list :(. One of the risks of buying online, but in my defence I did order weeks ago!

How annoying for you! How old are the recipients? If old enough, I'd just explain that the item you ordered hasn't arrived in time so sale item it is. Or, how about a printed note saying it is to be chosen together in the sales? We don't do santa so everything is from us. And mine are little and so I can get away with pretty much anything wrapped up and they are happy. :rotfl::rotfl:

Tweets, ((hugs)). Poor you, sounds like you need to wrap up and have a rest. Hope you feel better soon.

Great to see you DeeDee - we have missed your deals but have been muddling along :). Get well soon!

Which Original Source are glitching please? Went £2.20 to £1 yesterday and from the A end they are £1 on MsM. But as we have "a few" I may pass on this one :A.

Yep, some of us are mad enough to go out today ... in fact some can look while they are trying to buy Turkey ;).

We don't need any more Amaz0n vouchers ... but out of interest, is the offer on again today on Bespoke :)?

I was holding the job up in A yesterday buying vouchers on the app while quickly having to type in new payment card details. I see it as an investment though as 10 years to use, £10 back for £5 spend (no Q Cashback as it doesn't track on mobile apparently :() and I have managed to cash out some of the 3v :).
