In a T metro today I bought 2 packs of finest tempura prawns and a pack of the finest coconut and mango prawns, all RTC but the 3 for 2 Multisaver didn't come off the total. Not too bad as managed to use the £4 and one of the £1 orchards Mocs. Just thought I'd point this out.
If they were marked 3 for 2 then you were overchargedApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
:hello: I can't even be bothered to spend ages writing out a post about how my shopping in Sains. is going or about the deals prediction for £9 Baileys that it would have been obvious to me from the outset was unlikely to materialise just yet. I might get round to it when I've nothing else better to do, perhaps on Christmas Day:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::eek:!
Oh go on then - I can't be bothered to write about my Sains. shopping, but as for the Baileys - http://blog.moneysavingexpert.com/2014/12/12/sadly-no-morrisons-9-baileys-but-no-need-to-berate-me/ - it had only just been on offer around October/November time so I didn't expect it to go on offer at Christmas at all. It seems it was based on just a single year of 'deal history': 2013, week 2 December 2013 and no previous December deal in the previous three years. Hardly any "history". With it being a supermarket, I would have thought it pretty unlikely an offer like this would be run the same time each year, and, as it was, it was just a single year, last year.
"I ... hope people realise that a forecast, even if based on detailed research, is just that."
However, the "research" appeared not to have gone into much detail at all - the limit of its "detail" appears merely to have identified last year's December offer. It doesn't seem to me to have taken account of the fact the product had only just been on offer, in October/November, and was highly unlikely to be so again. Maybe I am wrong - I don't see 'behind the scenes' at MSE.
I'm not going to stick my neck out as to what might go on offer or not. Oh go on, I've no real recollection of whether much is expiring today in M and whether tomorrow is a big price changeover week or whether it's now mainly static until 29th December and that that will be the big changeover. Perhaps the 6 can Tango packs will be back at £1.59 tomorrow:rotfl:. Perhaps the Tilda Rices are due to go back to 79p. These are of course not on at all today and may not be on tomorrow - don't get these predictions mixed up with what, if anything, actually goes on offer:rotfl::rotfl:. Oooh! I now notice - I have just checked after thinking of the Tango cans packs - T is at £1.59 at the moment. Well, what do you know? Who would have thought it?:rotfl: So they would be M £3.19 vs T. Maybe M will therefore indeed match that price on the shelf tomorrow:(:rotfl::rotfl:. Here, my "research" is based on the time between now and the previous two offers in M - just my 'feeling' of how much time has passed, I've not actually checked and got the exact number of days, and the fact that T is already now £1.59 and that may cause M to be changing its price at this time. I have no advance notice or any connection with M (would you believe, for all the time I spend in their stores:rotfl:).
Although I expected no offer on Baileys - indeed I was completely unaware of the 'deals predictor' prediction until yesterday:o:rotfl: - I've been keeping looking for the product twice a week, although not specifically.0 -
