I am also going to put another vote in.

if your cough lingers and nothing seems to work then get yourself an appointment - especially if you have other conditions as well.

I can site numerous cases where a lingering cough was really a chest infection and at least 3 where it had gone to the next stage of pneumonia - not the elderly and frail but youngsters in their 30s and early 40s.

One person I know was in their early 30s, a hairdressers so in close contact with people all day so you would image they would be immune to every known bug - they ended up in hospital.

Could someone please point me in the direction of the barcode generator that was posted a while ago. I have searched but it was in an old thread and I can't find it. It's a real pain having to go to store to scan barcodes for wombles on s'tize.

    Thank you in advance :)

they were £1 in Asda a few days ago. In mine they were just on the very bottom shelf - you would have thought that with that price they would be on a section end, at least a full shelf - looked very suss to me

    Morning all.

Hope all the preparations are going well. Can any of the elite cooks suggest a simple dessert recipe for me please? It needs to serve 5, look reasonably impressive, not be too chocolatey and above all be easy to make. On the equivalent occasion last year I made TM's Toblerone cheesecake, so that's out for this year but is exactly the right degree of simplicity for my abilities :D

Very disappointed in my cat. Being a bit of a climber, I had visions of her scaling the Christmas tree on a regular basis and very possibly having it wrecked by now. She gave it barely a glance when we brought it in, has made one half hearted swipe at a bauble and has otherwise totally ignored it.

Ditto here, Ive written a list of everything we need for Christmas dinner but I need a desert to sit in the fridge just incase people fancy something sweet.
I have Christmas puds but one child wont eat dried fruit so I need an alternative.

No I don't have any philli and I don't have any cheese MOCs :(

My cats are also miserable. At the bottom of the tree I have various bells but not one cat has taken any notice of them - cats with no fun in them.

Treacle though has now learned how to barge his way into the boys bedroom through a shut door so I've hung a shirt on the handle to try and fool him. This is the revamped bedroom it took us months to re-decorate and I've kept it a cat free zone until now :(.

Good morning all, seems to have stopped raining here now.

Good to see some friendly banter on the nightshift, though I did only have a quick skim back.

Have to do the mince pies and cheese straws today. I thought I would be able to cut down on those with no kids at home now but I have been asked to take some of my cheese straws with me when we visit, seems they are rather popular :D

I love doing cheese straws :)
