The only cheapskate I know who actually has the time to come out Wednesdays is very happy to come for free, if I drive and pay for the ticket. And then buy dinner.

orange weds was one of the key attractions.

i still have my payg orange phone just for orange weds. that'll soon be ditched.

well, Orange Wednesdays always discriminated against people who had to work Weds evenings and those without friends - never understood why you couldn't get a 1/2 price ticket instead of one free if you didn't have a friend! Same thing surely & I actually spend more at the cinema when I'm on my own (treat of an ice cream etc) than if I go with a friend (bag of sweets in pocket to share!) ...

The reason I joined EE was just for this offer. Is it possible to get out of the contract because they have withdrawn this at all?

Unless 2 for 1 cinema tickets on a Wednesday is actually a contractual term, and it isn't, then you are still bound by the contract. Your contract is for airtime, the cinema deal is just a perk.
