erm what email???????????????
I presume the weekly email from MSE with Martins Money Saving Tips. It frequently contains links to "comping for cash" and when one of these comes round there seems to be a rash of new posters/compers all thinking they are going to make a living from it!0 -
I have a theory.....what time are you entering comps ?
I am pretty much the same, I enter 200 - 300 a day, and have been comping for almost a year, and only recently won two very small Prizes.
all competitions are entered late in the evening...only a theory, but just a thought ?
And yes..I must change my sig

I comp in the daytime (9-6, I have a FT job but workload is very off and on so I get time where I've got nowt on), and win a fair bit. With Twitter comps, I do try and wait until quite close to the closing time though, and I've done pretty well with those.0

Just keep at it I have been lucky to win 270 prizes so far this year. It is the luck of the draw. I have had some big wins such as a kindle, microwave, DVD player, Ipad, 3 night stay, 2 night stay, £200 cash, £300 cash, iPod Nano and some small wins such as books, DVDS, sweets, chocolate, CDS, box sets, goody bags and games.Really afteritv?
You joined in June and you have so far won 270 prizes?Good Luck Everyone:dance:0 -
Hey embera - still waiting for a win? I'd suggest you stop wetting yourself and start asking the people in question exactly what they've won. Wait, what was that? They've won more than you? Ah yeah, I'd wet myself about that as well.
Thing is who knows? Really? It might be the universe at work - or it might be that when we focus on something we are more liable to see the opportunities before us and take advantage of them. And then we deem ourselves lucky or blessed by the Universe. Attitude is the thing - if you think you're lucky then you very probably will be. It'll be the same situation, you'll just be stood on a different part of the map looking at it in a different way
ask the universe and you will receive I have on many occasions and not just prizes£32 worth of prizes in 2015 so far0 -
The payout in comps is certainly not enough to make a living off (bar ITV comps). I've barely won anything these past few months but carry on doing it, day in and day out, because you've got to be in it to win it.0

Just read this, comping wont change your life but you might just be lucky along the way! You will win some naff things and some good things and when a parcel arrives unexpected it is the best feeling in the world. The most exciting thing I won was a i pod touch that my daughter loves, 12 bottles of wine that my husband loved, Elbow and England tickets that my son loved and interstellar premier tickets where my other son saw Stephen Hawkins and Matthew McConhutey. A Tescos chocolate hamper which I loved!! Its a great hobby and I have noticed wins come out of the blue, when you expect it you get nothing!!0

I definitely think a change in attitude is needed.
Don't look at it as you only got £25 for a £65 dress. Look at it as that dress scored you £25 you wouldn't have had.
I recently won an EBay starter kit from a wholesale clothing manufacturer, 20 items of clothing intended for resale. They are all medium to high-end items, but if I get a quid each I'm laughing because they didn't cost me anything.
And definitely only enter comps where you want the prize. I very rarely enter comps for weekend breaks, for example, because I have a 5 year old and a baby so unless it's somewhere they could come too, I wouldn't be able to go. Also, I live in Kent, so a prize like one night in a hotel in Northumbria is no good to me.
Also, I'm not really into make-up etc, so tend not to worry about those sorts of comps.
If you are wasting hours entering comps you don't want to win, then getting fed up when you don't win them, you are bound to have a negative outlook. Try making yourself a comping wish list of things you really want, then Google them- ie: search for "win an iPad" or "holiday competitions".
You might get a bit luckier!
Good luck, anyway!Started comping May 2014- 26 wins so far.
