No Wins! :(

I can't believe it, I have been entering thousands of comps (All free and on line) since July 2013 and I have only won two prizes which were pretty much rubbish! :( One was a dress that I didn't like and was worth £65 so we sold it, but only got £25 for it and the other was some luxury long lasting travel candles and a reed diffuser and the whole lot was worth £150.....Can't sell that though and don't the smell to keep for ourselves.

The comps I have entered have ranged from large cash amounts (ITV etc) to smaller prizes worth £50 and upwards, but have won nothing (Except for the two things I mentioned above).

I really don't understand it. My partner has also entered many too and I have entered comps for him as well, but still nothing.

I'm thinking there's something bigger going on here, maybe a spiritual reason or something because the odds are so high with the sheer amount we are entering and have entered. Don't suppose there's anyone else on here who is having the same bad luck is there??

We were really hoping to improve our financial situation with being almost full time comp enterers, but that just has not happened! :(

Maybe the fact you are entering for yourself AND your partner is voiding your entries.

Both Sax and Snake are absolutely right. Unless you win the ITV big comps your life is going to change not at all. As you have found out you'll probably get some nice candles or a sleeping bag or something - not exactly life-enhancing stuff but then the vast majority of compers know it's not about untold riches and diamonds arriving in the post!
If you're entering for two people from the same computer you could very well be voiding a lot of entries. Always read the T & C to check if they forbid proxy or multiple entries from the same IP. Or just don't do it.

been entering for years, won a pack of colouring pencils - good stocking filler - but the dream is nice lol

  • It's just luck & some people are more lucky than others.
  • If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

It's like fishing, If you caught something every time it wouldn't be fishing, it'd be catching ... if you win everytime you enter a comp it wouldn't be called comping, it'd be called winning :/ (No idea what any of that means, or why I even thought to say it)

The chances of you winning enough to make a living, or even a partial living are slim to none. You see these articles in the papers about people winning £250,000 a year comping, but that's all hash ... don't believe a thing you read in the Daily Mail (other equally trashy papers are available) ... some people might make a bit of money through running a comping blog through advertising / freebies sent to them by promoters etc but that's not ewasy to get into either. If it was, everyone would be doing it.
Your best bet to make a bit of money out of comping would be to just keep trogging on, sell everything you win for as much as you can and buy lottery tickets with the money.

If you started comping hoping that it would be a money-spinner or replace a full-time job, then comping isn't for you. :D

For me, I like the anticipation of winning. I'm lucky in that I've had some awesome wins but it's the anticipation of what the postman will bring or any WEMs/WTCs that spur me on.

If you're entering every comp for both your husband and yourself then you could be voiding your entries as alot of comps are one entry per household and comp organisers can check due to entries having the same IP address.
