So it wasn't a repair but a replacement and we still don't know how long a repair would take.

Also got a Hudl 2 in October, same problem with charging, it an inherent problem.

Did the usual contact the IT people, got the usual rubbish response, do factory reset and reinstall, or the new update has not been installed correctly. They refuse to accept the problem is hardware based.

So instead of carrying on with those fools, I sent of an email complaining about the poor lack of service, this email was sent to a few of the Tesco company directors, complaints department and the ceo.

Then i got a reference number to take the hudl back for a FULL refund. So in order to anything fixed by tesco, just straight to the top. The customer service lot will do everything in there power to fob you off.

It's how they do repairs. It wasn't a brand new tablet which is what I'd class "replacement" as meaning. You don't wait while they repair the one you sent in.

You need to lay off the rum, it's completely warped your sense of reality.
Whatever you do, do it safely.

I'd class it as a like for like replacement, like you get in some insurance policies. It's not a repair because it's not the same tablet. Just because it's how Tesco do it doesn't make it a repair, any more than if they gave you a large sack of spuds and called that a replacement.
Whatever you do, do it safely.

Understandable that you don't want to be continually reminded of your inadequacies. ;)

It is not considered a replacement as it is not a brand new unit. It is a service swap out - a repaired or reconditioned ex faulty unit - which many on here complain about as they do not get a new item but a like for like used one. The supplier decides to "repair" this way because it makes the repair process simpler and avoids the problems of delays and tracking to ensure the unit goes back to the correct customer.

I noticed from a comment that this in fact is an old thread re-awakened. The OP never posted again in it - probably because they gave up after seeing the pointless bickering mainly caused by Brummagem Bertie insisting on getting the last word despite being, for the most part, wrong.

Time I baled out of this pointless squabble.
