EA have removed the sold sign but left a hole in my wall

So I'm a first time buyer and have now been in my house for a week. I came home today to find that the EA have removed the sold sign but left two big holes in the wall where the sign was. Is this usual? I would have expected them to fill them in as rain or ice in them could easily do damage. Yes, they're fairly small holes…

We repainted our last house before selling, specifically asked for no sign to be hammered into the wall (normal practise in that area), but still they did it and ruined the neat appearance of the front wall for the future owner.

Been away for a while.
