Excellent news. PE are sometimes a bit random, but hopefully hers will be cancelled too.

    Hi again,

I am getting slightly concerned PE has not responded as yet to my wife's PCN. I received my response a week ago, and her appeal was submitted 1 day after mine. The thing is, the 28 days notice on the PCN ends on the 30th December. Why is her response taking so long?

    Kind regards.

Ps. Today I received my "Rejection of invalid Invoice" from PE.

They have 35 days to send a definitive response.

  • Thanks,

Was scratching my head as to why mine was done so quickly?

    Kind regards

Keep an eye on things, if it goes beyond 35 days, come back for further advice. My guess is it's caught up in the Christmas post/break.

But don't go to sleep on it.

  • Would it do any harm if I resend the appeal? It was done via their website. Or even contact them for an update?

If you've sent the appeal via their website, as long as it didn't exceed their 3,000(?) characters and you've had an electronic acknowledgement, there shouldn't be any need.

But only you know those circumstances.

If they've got 35 days to respond, then asking for an 'update' isn't appropriate. They're dealing with tens and tens of thousands of these monthly.

She should have had an acknowledgement after 14 days. If not, complain to the BPA at aos@britishparking.co.uk

This guards against them claiming they send her mail, when they did not.

  • I took a screen shot of the acknowledgment of appeal when she appealed online.

Kept this safe in case they say otherwise.

I am sure it's fine and expect they just stopped over Christmas and will pick up your wife's one this week.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
