As already mentioned, this would be too easy to circumvent using other payment methods. Anywhere will take cash!


If you really have an addiction such as this you need professional help. An addict will always find a way to source their particular craving, be it alcohol, drugs, junk food or whatever. You have to address the addiction - not the supply.

I eat takeaways. And crisps. And pies. And chips.

I make the choice. I could purchase a healthier option, but I don't. It is my responsibility to use my money wisely.

It is yours too. If you have an addiction, seek help for the addiction. If you like fried food, learn to make healthier versions at home.

I wouldn't carry cash so it would reduce my fast food intake for that day - but obviously not for ever. A small reduction in the amount of fast food I eat is welcome - I know I can't completely avoid it without will power but it's no coincidence that in countries where fast food industry has ballooned in recent decades - so have their morbidity and obesity problems.

if it was that easy to use willpower there wouldn't be an obesity epidemic worldwide and illness directly related. people don't choose to be fat - fast food has made living healthy a lot harder than prior to the convenience food when we all had to cook fresh food.

They've made nothing harder. It's just as easy to eat healthy as it always was... it's just now there are easier ways to eat.

But of course it's a choice to eat fast food and become fat. When you are about to walk in to a fast food place, say no, and turn around and leave.

Use your brain instead of expecting someone else to do everything for you.

In practice:rotfl: no, no bank is going to do that for you.

You could get a personalised card and upload a photo of "VOID AT FAST FOOD OUTLETS" on it. I bet most will refuse to take the card lol

My corporate credit card has restrictions by category for example I cant use it anywhere that is classed as a charity, so banks can impose restrictions

Next time you go into a fast food outlet, order a salad. They all do them.
