Can i block my bank card from use at fast food outlets!!!

Does anyone know of any credit/debit cards or pre-paid cards or vouchers whereby you can either block their use at fast food outlets or can only purchase healthy food options with them in?

I very much doubt it is a wind up.

I also doubt if there are cards that can be so discriminatory.

no it's not a wind up - there is something that is killing millions of people..... sugar, salt and fat! Government won't put there foot down so I want to find away of controlling the addiction I suffer from. Not sure why there isn't a card where you choose who you can purchase from - for use with teenagers, alcoholics etc!

If there were such a card, a person could circumvent the problem by using cash.

it could be a pre-paid card/voucher that could not be used in ATMs and if you went out for a day/evening and didn't take cash with you it would prevent you for that period from eating badly.

The Yanks have done research into this and found taking away your card makes you buy less.

put card in plastic bag and freeze in block of ice. When you know you will need it plan ahead and remove it from freezer so ice melts before you need the card

The problem is can you define healthy food?

The good for you and healty option meals have been proved to be less than
ideal. More sugar and salt than you may think.
More chemicals and E numbers that your body cannot properly process.

I watched a show a couple of years back saying genuine real butter is healthier than the chemical laden artificial alternatives.

Real butter is a product that our bodies know howto deal with.

Too many chemicals in our food, Thats the problem.

In theory, debit/credit cards can be blocked by merchant type, but it's not common for personal cards. It is offered a little more for corporate cards and cards for children/young teens.

However, none of that would be able to tell the difference between good and bad food purchased at a typical supermarket.
