Litter Warden Fine

  • The OP probably thought that putting chewing gum down a drain did not count as littering - the council can't say they will have to spend money clearing it up, can they?
"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"
  • It'll be on Waterloo's CCTV, so you'll be identifiable if they want to push it that far.

You'll also have the offence of giving false information.

I'd call, personally, and say that your name is recorded wrong. Settle the fine and move on, rather than having to worry about it.

Wrong first name, wrong last name, wrong address and wrong date of birth. I wouldn't worry about this in the slightest as they will never find you!

The CCTV evidence being used to track down one litterer in London is such a laughable suggestion its not even worth considering!

No excuse for littering, no matter what sort of a day you have had, plenty of bins around if you had bothered to look.

Are there? Last time I was down in London all the bins at main line stations had been removed for security reasons, has that changed now?

No bins anywhere outside the station! Just double checked on street view not a single bin in sight!

Thanks for all the reply's, I know its wrong to litter!

Just be warned the people standing outside the station entrances in hi vis waste coats holding what look like train time tables are not there to help you!!!

Think the police have more than enough to do without launching the great bubblegum hunt..........

In theory, if they have facial recognition footage of you, this may be shared Nationwide and flag an alert when your out and about in any UK City, you may get a tap on your shoulder from Big Brother and end up with a criminal record.

Recognition cameras - all done by electronic means - your spotted and the police are alerted. Helps fund the cameras :) just like speed cameras.
