Litter Warden Fine

Good Evening
Was in London yesterday sat outside waterloo station, just missed my train so went in costa and got a sandwich and a cup of tea, the station was packed so went outside sat on the curb, I was chewing some gum but could not find any bins, so I wrapped it in a receipt I had and put it down a drain, don’t ask me why I didn’t put it in my pocket it had been a long day!!
Went to go back to the platform a gentlemen came up to me to say he witness me doing this and was issuing me a £80 fine, the litter warden spoke little English and after repeating my name to him and spelling it out he still got both my first and last name wrong, so I thought I’d push my luck and gave him a different address and the wrong date of birth!
I did not sign anything and he did not take any pictures of me.
I know I shouldn’t be dropping litter I never do, but as I said it had been a long day missed my train and was stressed!!
Can anyone advise if there is any come back on this? Will it be forgotten once there is no trace of the name and DOB he wrote down??

Probably. Surely they would ask for ID.0 -
He did ask for ID I said I didn't have any.
I could upload the piece of paper he gave me if you don't believe me!0 -
Well if they do catch up with you then you can be sure that whatever you've got coming to you is going to be a lot worse than a £80 penalty notice!0

I think you should pay your fine, hope they do catch up with you.
No excuse for littering, no matter what sort of a day you have had, plenty of bins around if you had bothered to look.0 -

I agree. I hope you pay and if you don't, I hope they come and find you.0
