Well I don't know about anyone else, but I don't randomly have people in my flat that I don't know who are likely just to walk into my bed and spoon with me:rotfl:

My post was in response to someone else suggesting that whatever happen happens was spooning as opposed to having sex with his date.

Anyway I'm sure he'll be back on to update about his bacon sandwich in the morning, not sure I'll sleep till then but hey ho.

But even then still has to be consensual.

So he rocks up, wearing whatever the kids are wearing these days and they bond over a fine dinner of donner meat and chips, possibly with a few cans of Tennants Super to set the mood. Maybe they stick on a movie... like, The Last House on the Left or maybe something in the holiday spirit like Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman; they laugh, they cry, they have a good evening and she makes it clear that she's not interested in the ol' in and out tonight because she's on the blob and didn't get time to dye the carpet to match the curtains... it still doesn't mean he can spoon with her. She's still got to consent. Even after a night like that. Even during the movie, she'd still have to consent. You can't just spoon with someone. Being invited to their house is not an invitation to spoon with them.

If people don't get this we'll have another government ad campaign instructing us how not to commit crimes.

Not really sure why you are picking my posts apart but rather than argue with you in a nit picking running commentary, Im pretty sure its possible that two people who have gone to bed with one another and not had sex have woken up in a spooning or someone putting their arm around one another.

I know Ive been in bed with someone and Ive reached out and put my arm round them or cuddled into them

Are you saying that the conversation should go something like

"Would you mind very much kind sir if I put my arm around you or snuggled into you in a spooning position"

"Noooooo, how very dare you put your arm around me and spoon me, you didnt ask PERMISSION", if you don't its a CRIME!!!!

I actually get that you have to have someone's permission to get into bed with them, but the previous poster made it clear he was going over there to have sex. He's been nudge nudge wink winking about it all through the thread. I think he's pretty much made it clear what hes going over there for. (by the way, I know there are probably 2002 scenarios that could happen that involve her changing her mind and not wanting to have sex or be spooned, I get that, but as I said before my comment was in response to another poster suggesting he wasn't going over there for sex, when the rest of his posts suggested he was).

What I actually said was, I don't think people need to be consenting adults to spoon with someone in bed. Not, people need to consent to be spooned, its two different things. I responded to something another poster said, really no big deal if you disagree with what Ive said and want to pick it apart, I just cant be arsed with another 20 posts along the same lines.:)

They don't, you'll get teens who spoon with one another, they aren't breaking the law if they do (oh unless someone just happened to randomly gatecrash through your front door as people tend to do and force someone to spoon with you). Happens to me all the time.:rotfl:
It's actually no big deal to me if they sit with a cup of Ovaltine and crochet all night long to the sounds of the Archers.

Lets hope she's given permission for him to make her Ovaltine and get the crochet hooks out or we could be in real trouble.

Actually I was just making a joking response to your initial comment which was " I dont think people need to be consenting adults to spoon with someone in bed, do you" because they do have to be consenting (what with it technically being classed as assault to touch somebody in such a manner against their wishes and all...)

However, clearly you do not appreciate my brand of humour and thus I shall take my leave so as not to aggrieve you further. :)

Humour? I must have missed that, you are going to have to spell it out in future.
