Unfortunately sofas don't come with a max seated weight advertised. Nor do they come with sitting instructions
But the answer to your question is, I don't think so.0 -
I too have the same problem. I've had my sofa a week and after one sitting my sofa had the 'puddling' issue. I am in the process of rejecting it under the SOG act. The display sofa in store did not have puddling and when purchasing a new suite that's what you go off. I called DFS and the person I spoke with agreed that after one sitting this should not occur. They are sending out a service manager to review and attempt to repair, however I will be surprised that if he does manage to repair, that it will stay repaired.
I just like to add I've had another suite from DFS that is 4 years old and I've had no such issue. In addition I bought the form filling to prevent the cushions from losing shape (well this is how it was sold to me!!!)0 -

Keep pushing the branch to resolve it. Dont expect them to come out and admit there is a fault from their first visit. They will give you all sort of excuses. Be prepared for a few visits before they give in. Perseverance is key.
No company (incl DFS) want bad publicity. They may eventually agree to replace the cushions and tell you they are doing you are favour.
But good luck and hope you get it sorted.0
