Dfs leather sofa creases

Purchased a leather suite from dfs which was delivered about 6 weeks ago. At time of purchase I was told the suite had the hardest leather in the store.
Within 1 week of delivery, the three seater had a lot of creases or puddling as dfs call it. Within a weeks of use???? Really???
Is this normal? The other two seater seems to be ok although both have had equal usage.
Dfs sent someone out who said it was normal. I'm not so sure and but would another opinion. The suit looks at least 2-3 years old instead of 6 weeks.

  • That's normal for a leather suite (I have one). It doesn't get any worse over time.

Most leathers stretch - the more comfortable ones stretch a lot. I had some extra padding put in mine when I had it refurbished, but discovered I could do the equivalent myself with pillows (on the arms).

Why do so many people have problems with their sofas?!
  • But creases within a week? The sofa looks a good few years old already.

Is it the leather which is the problem or the filling? Our fabric sofa looked creased and saggy quite quickly but it was the foam at fault and not the fabric.

Sorry, I wasn't criticising your post, just an observation about the disproportionate amount of posts about them- mostly from dfs.

The leather begins to stretch as soon as the sofa is used. As I stated, it doesn't seem to be progressive over time. Can you upload a picture so we can see how 'bad' the creasing actually is?

Yes it's normal, leather will start stretching as soon as you start using it, once stretched they settle, just like leather shoes.

To be honest that is part of my concern. If they look this bad within a weeks use, how bad will they look after 6, 12, etc months.
