Waitrose loyalty card never gets sent

I am so frustrated with Waitrose for twice not sending me my loyalty card after a year. A year ago i ordered one online. Nothing. I went into the store about 3 weeks ago and stated that i still have my tempory paper card because i never recieved my plastic one. They phoned head office for me and handed me the phone where I spoke to someone who took my details and said it will be on its way. Well, it never arrived so again I will be going to the store and not able to claim my free coffee. I am sure this is a ploy to delay so you can't claim what you are entitled. I give up with them :(

Well I got mine in store no problem and there are 1000s getting their free coffee every day. Cant be that important to you though if you couldnt be arsed after a year and only just bothered again
  • You have a paper card - why can't you get it with that?

They stopped accepting temporary cards for the coffee a few months ago.

mine arrived really quickly when I ordered it but I don't think youre really missing much, usually serves to get a few pence off your shopping and a hot drink if your local store actually has a cafe which mine dint

The reason I didn't bother for a year was because the store I visited was a long way away. Then our local town got a waitrose. I also forgot to say that my wife also applied in the other store and didn't hear anything. She then had email confirmation that it was on its way but like me she never heard anything. The very nice customer services lady in store just tried again for us and said mine is in the process still but my wife is not on record despite doing it twice. She also let us both have a free coffee.

Just surprising when a store based on quality, customer service related to John Lewis has such a poor admin system.

Firstly - MSE needs to get it forum search working properly. I tried to search this post using my user name and it bought up all my posts before and after but not this one. This happens quite a lot when searching for old posts to update.

Well, here we are almost 2 weeks on and still no card since reminding them in store. They said Mine is on it's way but how long in the 21st century does it take to sort a plastic loyalty card ? I could order a credit card which would be here in days.

    First. World. Problem :)
  • There was apparently a problem with the quality so they changed supplier causing a long back log.

    So maybe re-order.

I think my Waitrose card took around a month to five weeks to arrive. It is definitely unusual to take so long, so I'd have to agree with pleasedelete - maybe consider reordering.

Hubb, you should be able to find your previous posts by clicking on your user name at the top of the page (where it says welcome). Click the statistics tab, and you will have the choice to view 'all posts by' or 'all threads started by'.

That would probably be easier than searching your own user name.

ETA: If you're already in a thread you've posted on, you can also click your user name next to your post for a drop-down menu that has an option to view more of your posts...whichever option was easier for you.
