This isn't directed against Keepcalm but if there is a more annoying saying on this earth I don't know it.Deleted%20User wrote: »Keep your peker up, people done far worse - fight for your job
because you can learn from it and it sounds like you like it there
so it will be there loss, wishing you all the courage to get through xx

Only just seen this thread.
OP stated the following last night :
"....... I have severe depression with suicidal thoughts, went through numerous therapies that didn't help. Had almost 2 years off because of work related stress/depression and wasn't healthy to come back when my benefits were cut."
This may well amount to a disability. Is your (presumably new) employer aware of your impaired long term mental health. I presume your GP must be.
If off sick, would you now get company sick pay ..as distinct to SSP - Statutory Sick Pay ? ; if so for how long.
Based on answers to above you may, only may, have more rights and/or options than you imagine.
And BTW don't get too downheartened by some of the comments made by MSE forum members. It's not personal ; sadly it's commonplace on the forum. Some are, however, fair comment.

They denied everything so far that could help my case, but always saying they are here to help me. They are all words and no action. It is their words against mine.0

See if the citizen's advice bureau or ACAS can help you.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

I plan to call ACAS, mostly to ask them if it is ok that the bosses let other people know what on going on and they are not witnesses. I don't think I can ask anything else. I found another job urgent hiring with CV in store. Should I try or just wait for the hearing? Any thoughts?See if the citizen's advice bureau or ACAS can help you.0 -
Try for the other job. If you get an offer, you can negotiate with current people.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

I agree with this - OP, from your posts I would politely suggest that you need to be considering a visit to the GP as soon as possible - rather than fighting this particular battle and all its uncertainty while you are currently in this position.
Good luck.0 -
emsywoo123, I know, but whenever I went there they let me down. It is hard enough to talk about your problems, but when those who suppose to help don't do anything then you would wander if it is worth to put yourself in this situation and relieve everything over and over again.....emsywoo123 wrote: »I agree with this - OP, from your posts I would politely suggest that you need to be considering a visit to the GP as soon as possible - rather than fighting this particular battle and all its uncertainty while you are currently in this position.
Good luck.
Phil, they denied any knowledge, even though I explained it to my store manager and he even offered help and now they deny everything. My words against theirs guess who's words will count...
Still, thanks guys these useful messages!!!!0 -
You're managers are not allowed to disclose information such a disciplinary hearing to other members of staff. That is against confidentially and as a result of it you could be treated unfairly at work. Read up on your staff handbook.
Although it might seem like the end of the world right now, it isn't. You have seen others do it, which is still not an excuse but it is understandable how you may have felt under pressure when someone asked to borrow yours. I know when I worked in a highstreet store, lots of members of staff did it.
It is worth getting in touch with USDAW for advice.
Also, if you are not happy with your current GP then try seeing another, sometimes people just don't 'click' and disagree so it is always worth asking for a second, third or fourth opinion because your health is extremely important.
Good luck

Not really but this is a side issue and quite minor. and considering you have only worked there for 9 months I would advise creating more ripples if you get through this.True, but if I leave now they will say a disciplinary hearing is pending.
And just now one of my colleague texted me and he knew what is going on with me (suspended for misuse of discount card). I was told noone I can tell from work. He knows from bosses. Do they have the right to do tell the staff???Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0
