Start applying for other jobs now...you can cite that you were employee of the year. You might not get a good reference from them of course!

Shouldn't I wait until the hearing? Should I offer to leave? Should I offer to pay the damage?

Do not talk/think yourself out of the job. You were employee of the year so you must have been good at it. You can be good at work again, whether that same company or a different one. Don't let one mistake define the rest of your life.

:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

But...if your feeling is right that they are looking for an excuse to get rid of you, it is better to leave on your terms...than on theirs.

You're the only person who can really judge whether that is the case or not.
  • Keep your peker up, people done far worse - fight for your job
because you can learn from it and it sounds like you like it there
so it will be there loss, wishing you all the courage to get through xx

True, but if I leave now they will say a disciplinary hearing is pending.
And just now one of my colleague texted me and he knew what is going on with me (suspended for misuse of discount card). I was told noone I can tell from work. He knows from bosses. Do they have the right to do tell the staff???

Probably not, but there probably isn't much you can do about it.

Try to get some rest now. I know you are worried but thinking and thinking will not do you any good tonight.

Since Friday I am on the web reading about GM, it is hard to stop, I'd like to be prepared. But I can'd do more than admit my guilt and bear the consequences. So silly me....
