I can't offer debt advice - but wanted to offer support. It must be terrible to feel that low, but everything passes, and this will too.

You are among friends here, it is a good, safe place to work things out - keep posting if you can.
  • So glad to hear you're still with us and getting help

  • Most people have said the words I would like to say to you......No amount of money is worth your precious life. Please speak to your doctor and get some help, it doesn't make you a weak person, we all have difficult times, and I know how you are feeling right now. Sometimes, no matter what people say to help, we just can't see the light at the end of the tunnel when we are feeling so low. Your Dr will be able to help you get through this dark period of your life and help you put things into a better perspective. Ok, you have debt which you feel unable to cope with, but that won't always be the case. Speak to the Citizens Advice, ask to get some financial guidance/support/help. Maybe you won't be out of the woods for a while yet, but it certainly isn't worth losing your life for. Have you told your parents how bad you feel, how about friends? Hope the kind responses here give you some support and comfort. I have been in the deepest dark hole before (more than once) and never thought or at times, even wanted to get out of, but I am so glad I fought hard to get my life back on track, please try and be strong, it will eventually all be behind you.......hugs for you and I hope you have a good Christmas x

hi stainless, i suffer with depression and occasionally get dark thoughts of taking my life, i had an urge the other week to walk off the edge of a train platform as quick as the thought came i got rid of it, but you can not give in to them, debt is just debt, your can pay debt off and start again you cant start your life over again.

debt is not that bad that you have to take your life, its just money we came into the world without it we're leave the world without it. the worse thing that will happen is your lose property etc, but that's all it is is stuff, pointless stuff, but your at least your be alive, healthy, your have your family and you can start again.

society tells us we need money for everything we don't you can always make more money.

please don't do anything like that again, your life is worth so much more then this, there are places to go to talk to about it.
think of your debt like i do my depression, it's a demon that's trying to control and take over, keep fighting eventually i will get weak, but NEVER stop fighting it because it will win.

if you need a chat please just message me.

xx hugs xx we all have dark thoughts sometimes, even people without debt but other problems, small steps keep us moving forwards, maybe you need someone to take it step by step and see what can be done with your debts, im sure your family if they can would rather help you out than see you not around any more, even if you have to pay them back in some way. first step is talk and ask for a bit of help. well done for coming on here and sharing.
    take care of yourself
  • ask your GP to refer you for counselling,it helped me after i OD'd

Sorry to hear about what happened. Debt can be sorted and however large a problem there is a way to solve it even if it takes baby steps over a number of years. We are here to support you and there are many amazing charities there to help you in real life. Take care and keep talking x
