Childrens Frequent Flyer Miles not appearing with Opodo

I'm looking at making a booking for a flight to America for July 2015.
After doing a trawl about, booking the BA flights via Opodo will be about £100 cheaper overall than booing direct via BA.( due to Quidco cashback).
However when I try and make the booking, there is no field for me to enter my childrens Frequent Flyer details. The entry fields exist for the adults.
I've just endured what I suspect to be a very long distance call, to a gentleman whose first language isn't English, who has told me that Frequent Flyer programme for children don't exist, which is why there is no field on the website to use - to make me even happier, I'm getting charged 10 per minute to get this 'advice'. Evidently, my childrens Aadvantage membership cards that they've had since 6 months old are a figment of my imagination :mad::mad::mad:
Can anyone point me in the right direction so that I can use Opodo to get the attractive price for my flights, whilst also accumulating FF miles for my children.
Is it as simple as contacting AA/BA with my flight details, once the booking has been made with Opodo, or will they tell me to boil my head as I hadn't booked directly with them ?

Just add the Aadvantage numbers by ringing BA after you've booked-nothing to say you have to add them at time of booking- no head boiling neededI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
The best advice is to steer well clear of Opodo (and of eDreams, which is the same company). You have just had your first taste of their particular variety of "customer service" and you don't seem to like it... you can be sure that once they have your money there will be many more problems.0

I agree with Voyager2000, avoid Opodo!Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Cheers Duchy. I'd never come across not being able to add FF details for all my group before.Voyager2002 wrote: »The best advice is to steer well clear of Opodo (and of eDreams, which is the same company). I've used them in the past and previously had good service from them, certainly no different from Expedia, Ebookers, Lastminute etc.
All things being equal, I'd book direct with the airline, but a £100 saving is enough to make me look at booking via a 3rd party.0 -

So have I... back in the days when they were owned by a consortium of airlines. Now that they belong to eDreams things have changed.0 -
We booked through expedia last year and flew with Virgin. We got our miles with Virgin no problem - just rang them to get them added."Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee."0

The have changed ownership, they were owned by a number of airlines but were sold to this eDreams lot. Lots of complaints about them.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Cheers Crispy
The children are on the cusp of getting 'reward' flights to America and the miles from the July trip will be very gratefully rec'd.
Going O/T I got an Expedia email with 'BA Flash Flight Sale' this morning. I had a butchers and I don't think that my flight price has altered because of any seat sale-- I think that it has dropped because APD for the kittens has been taken off.0 -

Quidco/Opodo is 1.3% on flights so I assume you are spending about £8,000 on flights. If Opodo are displaying flights cheaper than direct with BA then do not be surprised to be contacted once you have paid to tell you the prices are higher and they want more money
It is worth reading the reviews (here and on tripadvisor) before you make the final decision the service has gone down significantly in the last couple of years0
