Hi no if you never use the card you won't get charged anything on it, once you have the payment through from Quidco I would write to MBNA and cancel the card as well.

brilliant thank you very much :)

if i dont spend ought on the card and i cut it up asap i wont get charged anything or will i ?
Yes you'll get your cashback but don't just cut it up, you need to cancel it.
If you just cut it up the account is still open. It's possible it could be used for fraud or they could add an annual fee (they'd send you a letter but you might miss the small print).
    Why take the risk?
    Just call them and cancel.

Alternatively why not keep it and just use it for petrol of something (pay it off straight away if you are nervous).
The advantage of using it is that you will build up a good credit rating (providing you pay it off on time).
If you've not had a credit card before you might not have any credit history which might make it difficult getting credit in future.
My advice is to start building a good record.

Hi everyone, have just switched to powergen for the £60 cashback. Is there anything to stop me switching again, as soon as this has been paid, for example to british gas for another cashback? Or is this the sort of thing quidco would determine fraudulent or ungenuine. Does anyone else switch every couple of months for cashback?

I bought Pru health in May it is validated few months but still not received money. I put enquiry. 'The status has changed from 'open' to 'on hold'. The ticket has been put on hold. Can someone tell me what its meaning. It is nearly 6 months money taking from my bank account but not received any cashback yet. I like to cancel. Any suggestion. thanks.

How on earth do any of you get your enquiries dealt with?

I opened one for lastminute.com in August (a sureshop merchant - so should be dealt with in a month). It took quidco a month to tell me that they needed my email address (which is on my quidco account) to deal with it. Since then it has been 'ready to send' for another month - why don't they just send it?!?!

I also have one with betfair (another sureshop merchant) which I opened at the start of February, and has been showing as 'sent to merchant' since about a week later. I put in a reply a few weeks ago asking why nothing had happened about it in the last 8 months and they haven't replied to that either!! AAARGH!!!!

Same here! I have had enquiries from March which still haven't had any responses. Bit fed up with it to be honest - have just joined pigsback
nothing to see here, move along...

  • I've just made an easy £40!

I was on British Gas Click 2 electricity and I've just signed up via Quidco to British Gas Click 4.

Validated staight away so it doesn't seem to matter that I was a customer of theirs already
