Day 4 of following my dreams.
Thank you teabodyI've yet to tackle the second one!
This morning I've gone through my bank statements and evaluated my subscriptions. It's been difficult but I've cancelled:
Auidble.co.uk - £7.99pm
Kindle unlimited - £7.99pm
Spotify Premium - £9.99pm
And changed my GiffGaff phone plan from £12pm to £5pm.
An annual saving of £395.64! :T
That's a successful morningWoop woop!

Day 5 of following my dreams.
Feeling a little depressed today. It's looking more and more unrealistic to be MF by 30. Unless I get a good pay rise, I'm really going to struggle
I've been looking at my bills trying to figure out a way to decrease them without going too far. Here's a list of all bills per month:
Gas and electric come out of my big bills account that I put £100 into every month. Car M.O.T etc also comes out of big bills.
If there's anyone reading who has any advice on cutting my bills please let me know. Is it worth the risk of cancelling pet insurance?97 months until I qualify!

Sounds like you are determined. Don't let things get you down. Just work out by how much you will be off achieving your goal and then make a plan to make that achievable! Simple as that (she says!)
I also had a little lull after I started a month or so ago when I felt it was hopeless. I think it's the low after the high of starting.
Good luck!Mortgage [STRIKE]£269,000[/STRIKE] £258,987 / MF date [STRIKE]June'49[/STRIKE] June'49
Debt £24,990 / Debt Free Est. May'21

Day 6 of following my dreams.
Cream Tea - Thanks for saying that. It's a perfect description of my situation right now. I've been making all these changes and now there's no more to make. Just the slooooooow wait until payday so I can over pay. How boring! And being realistic is right. I need to remember that. Thank you
greent - I hadn't noticed until you said that. It gave me a little laugh on my lunch break:rotfl:!
I've been commuting all morning for work and had time to think. I honestly don't think I need a TV license. Living in the sticks I get hardly any channels anyway. Plus, I have netflix and BBC iplayer etc. So I will cancel that later on today. That will save me £145.50p.a.! - That's my house insurance covered for next year!:money:
As for pet insurance. Including my excess I think it's best I cancel that too. However this is risky business. Knowing my luck the furry ones will get sick and cost me hundreds >.<! But it works out at £170.88 plus excess if I do claim (£125). So I don't really think it's worth it.... Thoughts?
And I've decided rather than sit about moping trying to figure out a way to save money, I'm going to knuckle down with my Diploma course and set myself some deadlines. Act like I'm in uni again. Once I complete it I get a pay rise. It won't be much. Maybe £500 more a year, but that's something at least! I can then work towards the next course level (if work will pay for it).
Today's quote is:“One of the main reasons that we lose our enthusiasm in life is because we become ungrateful..we let what was once a miracle become common to us. We get so accustomed to his goodness it becomes a routine..” ~ Joel Osteen.
Thanks for reading my ramblings. Back to work I go!97 months until I qualify!

If you cancel your pet insurance, how about putting the money for it into big bills account, rather than perhaps OPing it? That way you could build up a 'pet fund', just in case.
