  • As I am planning on using savings from my grocery budget to reach my target, I am unable to update until the end of the month.....but I am avoiding spending so hopefully I will have a healthy figure to post at the end of January!! ;):D

  • Well, I am getting nowhere fast. Money is a lot tighter than I was hoping thanks to my travels planned for March and April to see my favourite band, and Download festival in June. After June I will be throwing any spare pennies at my debt. At the moment I would be happy just to have paid off the smaller credit card (£500) by the end of the year, so that is my new goal.

  • Good Afternoon :)

Sorry DebtFree2012but can i change my CC amount again? everything is now on the barclay card at £7177.47

I am feeling quite good that we are able to get all our CC debt onto 1 card :D We still have a loan but as we cant make overpayments without being charged i just dont think about it and it will pay itself off eventually.

I have only managed to pay off £31 so far this month but like someone else i will pay more at the end of the month when i see what i have saved on the grocery challenge. Its looking good so far that i will have extra left over as i have has 3 no spend days in a row so far :D:D

    No problem, all done HighlandLass.
I too moved everything around instead of having loads of accounts over. Good luck with GC :)
PS what's it like living up there?

  • I love it up here. I am about 20 mins north of Inverness. When i was younger I couldn't wait to get out of my small town ( around 5000 people) and moved to a big city as soon as I could. I didn't like it much, too built up and too many people. I realised that I liked my small town after all. We have birds of prey flying over and I get to drive past distilleries and farms.

And this year my dad has said that I can use his green house/veg plots - we may even dig a 3rd one :D

Traveling needs to be thought about carefully though. We have some flights to London etc but quite expensive and trains are the same. But with fuel coming down we can go further afield on adventures ;)

Sounds amazing. We are hoping to buy a farm when I am DF and can't wait to have some peace and quiet. Gorgeous :)

  • Well I have been doing the pad challenge and having spend free days. I'm looking forward to updating my totals at the end of the month. Really hope I do well this month as it sets me up for the rest of the year ☺

Highlandlass scotland is gorgeous, I love going on adventures up there ☺
Too much money owed, trying to pay it off one paycheck at a time
Happiness comes from within, following your dreams and doing what you love :) :A
