There's a guy on You Tube called "Travelling Robert," who seems to have been just about everywhere, often by RV, and has made, I think, some really good videos. Worth a look if you were thinking of going to any of the places covered by the videos, especially the national parks.0

I'm sad you didn't like your holiday.
We are currently half way through a month long trip to Las Vegas and still have to do list as long as your arm. Maybe we are easily pleased. This is our 25th trip.0 -
Go karting I can do over here with my mates.
).
Pretty much anything you can do in Vegas you can do other places
Go-karting, gambling, sunning by a pool, clubs , sightseeing, zoos shopping, eating out at all levels , drinking etc etc .
Finding them all in the same place and at generally reasonable prices isn't so easy though.
Hopefully you'll find somewhere better for you next holiday- perhaps take your mates as well as your wife next timeI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and if you're working etc then there just isn't time to research everything.
Really ?
As a single Mum working fulltime I always found time to research holidays before parting with my hard earned cashI don't think I'm unusual in that. Most people don't work more than forty hours a week so I'm not sure lack of time is the reason people don't research.

There was a british pub off the strip, it was nice to go there and get a full english (or the closest thing to one over there).
Maybe you should stick to the Costa's then
we've been to Vegas maybe 5-6 times over 30 years.
Always good to go back every 5 years or so to see the changes, but we only stay 3-4 days max as we do not gamble and eating and drinking is not our 100% pastime on holidays.
Going again next year, but again only a start\stop point for our 21 day tour.
Horses for courses, LV is good-even unique-but it's not a place I'd go back to year after year (or month after month)
Far better\bigger places in the world to see-and life is short!0 -

Crikey, we go 3-4 times a year for 8-10 days at a time and every time without fail we just don't seem to have time to do everything we want to.
We only go twice, not 3-4x a year, but agree that it does seem like we always run out of time...there are things we still haven't done after 25 trips.
I can accept that not everyone will love Vegas, absolutely.
But there are loads of things to do in the vicinity that aren't shopping or gambling. Though I admit we do spend a lot of our time on the latter.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
OK, yes there are a lot of things to do but none of them seem to take up any great length of time (although had we not bought advance tickets for a few places queing would have taken up a few hours - in particular siegrieds place and the aquarium at Mandalay bay).
3 tickets for $50 or $55 was pretty decent value for money. It saved queing and a few quid.
But I am pretty sure after 25 trips you could have done everything many times over, although if you are spending a lot of time gambling then that probably accounts for it.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I havent been as often as Ferf but have been roughly 16 times and there is still plenty to do and we dont gamble very much but we do always have car.
last year went when Nascar is on...you cant do that everywhere, have tied in trips when the Monsterjam world final is on, seen baseball, ice hockey, the list goes on.
If you want a full english though maybe Vegas isnt for you0
