Both of my children end up with me at night, dd tonight was concerned where she will sleep when we turn her bedroom into an ensuite. I should imagine she will sleep where she usually does!
I like miniOCC coming in with us when he needs comfort, he goes in his own bed 99% of the time but sometimes just needs a cuddle
Today's been a bit spendy went out into city, CS puzzle plus raffle ticket £1.75, pencils with pencil grips, timer for teeth cleaning, japanese crackers, 10 meters of ribbon total £5 in tiger and then some gluten free biscuits and a drink each £2.97 from 99p shop so just about £10 spent. Went to the miniOCC dome curtains as he's finally agreed to have them up only problem is his window is too wide for off the peg kids ones. Time to rethink and scour the Internet tomorrow as I'm sure I'll be able to get them somewhere
MiniOCC went to our shop to choose the present for his teacher and ta. It was very sweet how much attention paid to what they would like. It's well discussed between the female teachers and ta's at his school that they get a very good Christmas present from miniOCC when he's in their class :rotfl:
New laptop should arrive tomorrow so will get that set up tomorrow night. Have a Norton subscription from work and office where we also aren't using all the subscriptions so no additional costs required though I do need some printer ink as I'm sure we are out.
A load Of cleaning done today and a list started of jobs that need doing over the next few days. The house is desperately in need of a good clean so it's good to get started. The BF is going to do some tomorrow and also finish the last bits in bed 4 so the bed can go back in there and then we will see what room we have in there (it's a small room) we don't need a wardrobe in there but would like some bookshelves and a bedside table maybe. Its not going to be used a great deal so some smart storage that we can utilise would fit the bill. Then we can start to tidy bed 3!
No sign of paperwork from Virgin money yet but there's no hurry at the moment.0 -
We have a bespoke kitchen...not sure I would bother again.0

Will definately try for an off the peg but wierd rooms and wierd sizes might require a bespoke. Bathroom will definately require some work to got a standard suite in!
Today has been wierd. MiniOCC usually will not go in any shows, concerts, in fact remember back a few dozen posts when he point blankly refused to do the cross country. Well now, today, he's decided he wants to do the school concert and the gymnastics show. Luckily he can be accommodated and all going well I will be so proud if he gives it a go. He's very nervous of going things wrong for some reason so often refuses to do anything. If he does these two things too I think I'm writing a letter to udo's choice as that stuff is a miracle. The change since he has had it is amazing anyone interested this is it http://www.udoschoice.co.uk/shop/Udos-Choice-Ultimate-Oil-Blend-500ml
It was the school nativity today, they've really upped the quality of the singing/songs this year. One sung all in French and several with different groups of singers. They stepped it up a notch!
So £20 for tickets etc for the gymnastics show and another few £ for the Christmas presents for miniOCCs classmate ( make something every year) this year we have made salt dough Christmas tree decorations with acrylic paint and brushes (for painting at home). Last year we made leaf lanterns and the year before cookies. Last years went down really well so this years will never be as good.
No other money news, I still have £50 from personal spends and am paid on 18th. I have set up a new spreadsheet which gives a financial summery / targets on the new laptop which I will add to tomorrow0 -

Hopefully you're right and the car will be a good investment.
We haven't bought presents for son's teachers (has two) or sent any Christmas cards. I can't face it and wife is too busy. Really wish it would all just go away, to be honest.
Hope the concert goes well.2018 totals:

You should make some things together. It's a lovely touch.
Ed - that's super fast. Nice one
The concert is tomorrow, fingers crossed it goes well. They've decided not to do 3 songs but only 2 and luckily they are the 2 that he knows so that's fab. They could do one note and get it wrong and I wouldn't care two hoots. If he does it, that's progress.
To add to the will he won't he stress, he's been asked to play in a football tornament at the weekend with the under 8 team. (He's in the under 7s team). We've said yes but this could also go either way. We will see
Money wise we've been rubbish at taking in lunches to work as its so busy we've had no time. Will worry about that again after Christmas. I've been doing a bit of spreadsheet fiddling tonight and have it nearly there but not quite. Need to actually busy some presents as I've lost motivation. The main ones are just about there but need to go and buy a load of gift cards for the others. A cop out but not feeling that it's worth the effort with most people lol!
Edited : totally forgot op made today of £15 which was TCB rounded upthx TCB

After my earlier post I came out of my stupor (not drunk but haven't been with the rest of the world for a while) and realised everyone in son's school has sent a card to my son. Going to make some cupcakes and biscuits tomorrow and son can help me decorate them when he's home from school. Wife's idea as she'd rather receive a sweet treat than a card ... :rotfl: Mind, so would I!
Good luck for the concert, what are they singing? I enjoyed son's school Christmas carol service even though the quality of some of the singing wasn't good. To be honest, I didn't really care, which was a surprise as I wasn't expecting to feel that way. Can't believe I'm the one to be saying this (as I never used to believe it) but you'll be proud of him no matter what.

thats a really fantastic idea for your son, miniocc and I make a present for his class every year, they all really love it and we enjoy making them together.
The concert was music, the nativity was earlier in the week. It includes the whole school and is at the local church. It was fantastic and the quality of the singing and the production was fantastic. perhaps you could volunteer to help at your sons school next year as small schools have little time or resources to devote to it themselves. luckily at minioccs school 2 of the 4 teachers are really interested in music and dance so they take over with the help of some parents.
The music concert today was violin, piano, recorder and guitar. miniocc plays the guitar he started in reception but isnt a natural to be honest although I tell him he is brilliant of course. he is also very nervous of performing in public and being in any shows so it was a really big deal for him to do it. I was so proud when he did it, literally couldnt have been prouder! Have asked the grandparents if they want to see him in the gymnastics show sunday so hopefully that will be okay.
Have been naughty tonight and had a takeaway (went through tcb!). Its so busy at work at the moment that we never have time to cook or do anything else for that fact. In money news its personal spends payday and I still have 40 pounds left from last month in my savings account so thats fantastic seen as I had to pay the balance of my course too this month just gone. I have to spend about 100 pounds on christmas still which are covered from this months personal spends which is fine. I cant quite remember what I set my OP target at for this month I must skip back a few posts and check.
Have been doing well updating my blog and have been putting some time into it. Need to get some more inspiration for posts as I have been getting a lot of readers and I need to keep them entertained!0 -
Well, the cupcakes and biscuits are done.
Kept me occupied today, at least. One for each pupil, both teachers and a teaching assistant. The assistant has been really good with my son.
Your son's school concert sounds really good, sounds like your son did really well, too.I am going to ask my son's school if they'd like me to help with music next year. How often does your son practise the guitar? If he plays it in lesson and doesn't touch it until the week after his progress will be very slow.
