We have Arrived and had NSD 5/31 whilst flying.
Very tired, just been out girls lovely meal
Now sleeeeeeeeeepingggggggg0 -
Jet lag kicked in after 4 hours sleep at 1.30am still awake 2 hours later
this is so normal for me, I always factor it in whilst travelling in Asia.
I've whiled away the last hour using some of the random £30 refund Amazon game me and haven't taken back despite my multiple requests on ebooks. 4 purchased which I'll get started on tomorrow
Meal out tonight was lovely and £60 for 5 including 3 courses and drinksthis was a very nice place to eat too
in MSE news the exchange rate is very good up on our last visit, in fact the most we've ever got in my memory.
Checked my bank accounts which look okay nothing happening over last few days.
Business is ticking over in our absence.
Thanks for comments re minioccs race. I think he's annoyed with himself now. I admire him for sticking to his guns but struggle to know what to do as he's usually quite compliant:)0 -
Have you taken your whole family to Asia?
Has your son had problems with performing in races / school plays etc. etc. before?2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
Hi Alex, yes the whole family is in Asia part hol part work.
In the miniOCC has in the past had issues with plays and events prior to school but has been fine since at school. I thought school had given him the confidence. There were about 100 kids in total and as many spectators so I think it was just a surprise even though I'd tried to explain. The other cluster things he's been in for had less kids and or less spectators. I think he'd have been alright if we'd got a park run in advance so knew what a race would be like but hey ho, things conspired against us.0 -
Miniocc is in bed so time for s catch up! Today has been good. Miniocc had a surf lesson, liked it at first then it hurt his knees too much LOL. He is extremely sensitive at the moment! Spent the day at the beach, fantastic time. I'm not biggest fan of beach but miniocc loves it and enjoys the sea. The waves are HUGE here though so have to watch him like a hawk.
Tomorrow we go to safari and then we need to get some more work done! Will have another full day our later in the week, going round the sites doing the tourist thing!
Very MSE few days have only spent about £50 between us so far! Bank accounts are ticking along nicely.0 -
Today was not a NSD, definately not. Went to bali safari and had the full experience, miniOCC really wanted an elephant ride so we put that into this day. 7 million rupiah for 5 of us which is rather a lot but so worth it. The animals seem extremely happy and it was a full day and everything included. Had a lovely meal tonight to finish off the day, fine dining for 5 with wine etc £66! God I love Asia.
Tomorrow my parents take miniOCC to the beach and we get some work done. When we catch up with a friend who lives in Jakarta on Friday and finally meet his wife. We are going to have a BBQ at our bungalow.
Just need to check my accounts which should be ticking along nicely0 -
That sounds lovely! I once went to an elephant orphanage which was beautiful but sad.0

Today was another good day, worked til about 3 then gave up due to immense heat and no aircon!
I think we got most of everything done and had a fantastic catch up. Need to spend rest of time getting inspiration. Thinking about ordering some calico bags too to offer instead of carriers. Exchange rate is good so about 70p each plus shipping. Need to investigate uk prices.
Would be a NSD today but Spent £1 on about 100 insence sticks!0
