Watching Glastonbury and as we've missed it again, were thinking about latitude festival again. It's close by but is £410 for all our tickets but on the other hand were not going on holiday this year. On the other hand this has been a spendy year. On the other hand we have £340 in holiday fund to spend as we will. I'll think on it.

This has been a great and not too spendy weekend. Took minime to football training for new under 7's team although he stayed with the now under 8's this week. He was really good, I was very impressed.
Then taxi'd him to to quasar laser place for a birthday party although he hated it and we left early as he was very upset. Spent £25 on food shopping this week which included £6 on kids presents, aldi has some really good presents at the moment for £3 and £4 which would usually be £8 to £13 and really good value. so all in all it was really £19 on food!
Today started on our own homemade Christmas presents and made homemade clay, not a bad first attempt but need to dry for longer in oven next time. They will end up as Christmas tree decorations to paint. They will be for littlie to give his classmates and should be able to make all 30 for about a fiver including individual paints and brushes to go in each bag.
Went bowling as a family, cost about £25 but made a day of it so not bad.
When we got home made onion chutney and I wrote a blog post. I needed to restock chutneys as This weekend I've sold 5 yes 5 jars or jams and chutneys outside my house for £7.30 which has gone in the holiday fund.
BF listed 3 things on eBay the legend! Purchased cup measuring things from £land as I mostly Google recipes nowadays and a lot are in cups. I've just got bored of converting it.

Today's been a good day. Got another payment payment onto mortgage from quidco and Santander and its made my OP for June quite respectable taking into account my FIT payment.
Had a little chat with the BF about reducing the mortgage and we're set on being MF by the time he's 60 so that's 10 years.
Did I mention that BF made a pallet outdoor coffee table that is almost finished and just needs the painting finishing. It is epic!

6. Write 2 more blog posts this week. Am being featured on a bloggers site with one of my organisation posts so hopefully that'll send a few extra readers my way and it's great that it's being recognised as being helpful :-)
7. Continue with the garden de weeding session.
Edit - just got a groupon for bowling for 4 for £9.95, through Quidco of course and lasts until September so will save for summer hols :-)0 -
made a sneaky OP of £83.21 today as wanted to fill in another square on my house. Mortgage stands at £133999.99.
On a totally weird note my solar generation in may and june were exactly the same!!!0 -
Got a renewal through for my breakdown cover today. Cost of renewal was £155 taking into account paying monthly. Rang up and renewed for £95 for the same policy. I'd already checked around for a like for like policy and £95 is great. I paid it annually so no monthly charges :-)
I can't believe that 6 months ago I didn't do this every time I got a renewal through. I must have been wasting 100's per year :-(
I also switched my electricity to a better tariff within Scottish power. Their website tells me as soon as a cheaper option is available which is really handy. Checked on the mse energy checker website thingy and plugged in Scottish powers new tariff switching would have saved my £1.70 per year so I stayed put. Not worth the hassle for that much!0 -
Got me letter confirming my extra £20 OP Per month. This now makes my regular OP just under £185. According to the docs they sent through my standard payment was a little lower then I thought, (meaning my OPs are a little more than I've recorded) maybe they had reduced it after looking at my OPs. Makes no difference to me as is still pay the same amount but a little bit more is an OP.
Also it informed me that if I keep up these planned OPs at £185 per month only and nothing changes my smaller mortgage 35k will me paid off in 10 years and the bigger one 99k in 15. The larger one is on a fix rate for 5 years (I already OP the max amount) so I am going. To aim to get my small mortgage paid off in 5 years max so them I can hit the bigger one as soon as the fix finishes. I need to play around with the OP calculators to work out the amount I need to OP to achieve this but I think my current level will have me on track.
In other money saving news I have sold a jar of chutney this weekend for £2 and paid £50 for a holiday club soccer school at Norwich City for miniOCC. It comes with 2 free pre season tickets so will be using them for West Ham I should think. I have heated all the water and done all the washing etc on solar this week. I've also made a couple of loaves of bread and shopping was £50 this week and cupboards are really full :-)0 -
Yesterday actually ended up being spendy for me. On Thursday miniOCC ripped a hole in his school track suit. I was thinking it's near the end of term so it can wait. then of Friday got a letter saying he'd been picked to represent the school and they need to wear their blue tracksuit. Trip to h and m required only £15 but unexpected cost. What we were really going shopping for was miniOCC sandles. Got a pair for £27 for some lovely Birkenstocks which suit his very wide feet. Already a size 1 at 6 hopefully will shop growing so quickly soon!
Also had tea out at yo sushi as a treat as its miniOCCs favourite and we rarely go out in the city any more so whilst we were there so my spending budget until 18th (pay day) has been mostly spent!
The plan today is to go on the gogo Dragons trail with a picnic but the forecast has gone downhill so might need to readdress the plans. Actually could do with a bit of a rest today anyhow so it might be enforced upon us.0
